Nice time @phil bottle I don’t know how much time manual will find you but it is quicker. If you can get used to manual then things are going to get tight at the front.
Apologies for not posting a new combo yesterday, I got home too late and just needed sleep. I will roll the randomiser when I’m home and post the combo.
Haha that isn’t a bad tactic, unless you use a car that is faster with BoP enable than not. I might have to try that though, see if I can set an even faster time.
So managed to fit in 11 laps last night and managed a 1:38.324. I wasn’t being consistent though so probably could shave a little time off that too. I’ll try and give it a go with tc on higher, auto gears tonight and see what time I set
Nice! Good to see times getting down in to the 1:30’s. I guess a 1:30 something is my aim when I pull my finger out and do some laps. I’ll try and fit some laps in tonight and post my time.

I still need to put in a few laps to get a proper fast time. I might then do a few laps in high TC only, auto only and then both if I have enough time.
Try the Lexus on this track, it's an even better drive than the the 911.

I tried the Ferrari 458 Gr.3 out. It drivers quite different than the 458 Gr.3 especially out of the slower corners. I also have a Gr.3 BMW to try out but I’ll have to try the 911 or the Lexus too. Got to find one I really like before really going for lap times.
Out of interest, what aids does everyone use? I’m thinking of doing some laps with auto gears, traction control set higher etc to see what the time difference is.
Not a bad time to start with and if you can improve by a second already that would be excellent. I didn’t know you could have a ghost car though, I must have turned mine off and not realised.
Yeah the online is fun, most of the races I find are pretty good though occasionally come across an asshole or two. I’m aways up for some online racing, I’ll try to remember to make an event later. See if we get a few of us on for some racing and banter as well as make a change from time trialling all the time.

I am anything but consistent on this combo but I did some laps last night and got down to 1:30.94. I think I could get it down to maybe a 1:30.5 but I don’t think I can be bothered to do the laps to get my time down.
I just realised I haven’t updated the leaderboard for the last round. I know my time and Spacedeck’s but @phil bottle and @GazzaGarratt what time did you set in round 2?
I also didn’t realise that this rounds ends on the FG awards weekend so if there’s no objections I’ll extend this round by a week too.
I’ve not tried them either, when I’ve made it on GT I’ve been doing laps for the time trial. Though I really only want the Jag and Subaru so I might buy them and just wait to collect the others as free cars.
Gave this another 10 laps this afternoon. I managed to screw up most of them but in the middle managed a 1:32.5. I managed a lap where I was 7 tenths up but touched the grass and spun near the end of the lap So a 1:31 is possible even if tricky to keep the lap together.
Gave it some laps tonight using the M4 and managed a 1:33.052.
Interestingly on that lap I set none of my fastest sectors as I messed up so many faster laps A 1:32 is definitely possible, maybe 1:31 even if I can string sectors together without touching the grass.
I haven’t found the time to have a go yet but thanks for letting me know what the best car is I’ll try to have a go this weekend and see what times I can set.
I’ve included all car classes so we will end up with some slow combo’s occasionally. Though I have an unwritten rule that if we end up with something stupid like n100 and Nordeschleife then I’ll re-roll the randomiser.
I think a slower combo could be good though, see who maintain their speed through the corners.
I don't think I've driven Brands Hatch in this game, I remember it from some older games but then only really the indy circuit. I know it is quite a fast but precise track to really get the best out of some of the corners so it is going to be interesting to see how we all do.
I'll give you this round. I have to go out soon, so don't have much time for anymore racing. My final time ended up being 2:15.359.

Damn that is close to my time! Definitely made me sweat more this round than the last one. Maybe I should stop posting videos of my laps until the round is over
I give up! I gave it a go to get a 2:14 but nope. I managed a 2:15.205 so ever so slightly quicker but couldn’t get any faster. I set a few faster sectors which would have been good enough to get me in to the 14’s but always messed a sector up somewhere.
So a 1:31 is possible even if tricky to keep the lap
