This is all they have and it is honestly a pathetic effort in this climate for a live service title So basically all we have left until season 2 next year is a winter version of a map, a timed event of crap and an axe. In comparison, Black Ops 7 has 9 new maps, several new previously established modes returning plus zombies content and the new Warzone No matter how terrible BO7 is and how it's been received, Treyarch have clearly planned ahead and they are probably making endgame content as we speak. The offering from Battlefield is beyond embarrassing.

I have over 100 extractions solo and only been killed twice in and around the elevator. Best thing to do is choose an exit that isn't hot i.e has more than 10 minutes left on the clock. Also approach carefully and use the built-in social chat saying 'don't shoot' and 'thank you'. Also holstering your weapon can put others at ease. When en route, observe the sky to see if there are any ARC floating around the exit because that can be a sign someone is close by. I also don't push the button blind and also don't leg it to the exit as soon as the doors open as that can encourage opportunists. There's definitely more combat in PvP but solo is pretty relaxed most of the time I find.

I kind of get this is as I hoped for possibly a few more maps, but at the same time this just feels another example of our gaming expectations changing. I hope to god we can find a way to buck the trend of trying to play a game so much so quickly that it takes away all the fun out of it. I suppose a FPS multiplayer game can only offer so much in the end. Not sure if theres a roadmap for this anywhere?

Like Matt says, timing is everything. I think its done well, far better than CoD has served up this time round, but Arc Raiders launch has killed it somewhat currently - very similar when all other games got put to one side when helldivers 2 came out. Things will settle down and I don't see another FPS that beats this right now. BO7 just doesn't interest me unless we had loads of interest of squadding up with FGers. I've seen more people buy this, says its decent enough, that means we'll pick it back up again in the Winter months to get our FPS fix. What I would say though it the new map that is a section off Redsec, works pretty well for the few games we played on it. I wouldn't mind a few more like that, where you don't feel so exposed across the entire map.

Ironically, that seems the best way to make friends and not get killed by other teams. Console trios seems to be the opposite as they don't spend time to say 'Don't Shoot' and have a chat to a randomer.

On PC I tried a few games last night. Always killed at the elevator. Solo isn't the way to play this

Will get you added, what are you playing on? We had Greboth and Crispy on last night for the first time too so we have a few newer players which is good.

The post-launch support is just not good enough. Black Ops 7 has a content-laden season one offering and this game is living off its Battle Royale scraps for maps. The washed-up COD devs that made this game clearly didn't consider the enormity of what is needed to keep people engaged in games of this nature and one map every two months isn't going to wash and nor is a winter version of one of them either. They are also releasing gimmick weapons now so this entire game and franchise is soon to be a joke. All they've done is remake MW2 from 2022 and coincidentally, that's exactly when this game began its development.

Xbox one should work I think? As a PSA to anyone who reads this, when you get to a quest called Armored Transports, make sure you load in with an augment with a safe pocket. Once you get the key card, PUT IT IN YOUR SAFE POCKET IMMEDIATELY. This key card is extremely rare, and you only get one shot at it on the quest, so if you die and lose the card, you are unable to complete the quest and will have to spend the rest of eternity hoping you get lucky, or that you come across some kind soul who happens to have a spare one, like I did. Or you can camp the quest site and just zerg everyone who comes close in the hope of getting one, but that will often backfire.

I think it will get game time but it has come out at a time where there are quite a few new games coming out and a some tough competition, notably Arc Raiders which has took off really well. It is going to struggle to keep the momentum going with a map here and there that have been let's be honest are pretty crap. If that is what they are releasing at this point when they still have a sizeable workforce on the game then just think of the dregs we will be getting in a month or so. Worse still is they are just sections of the Redsec map which show's where yet again they put most of their energy towards and yet again it won't take off for them, you think they would have learned after last time. Battlefield will never be a battle royale.

Guess the battlefield hype ran out fast? I had high hopes too.

Yeah, Valve are pretty strict on that sort of thing and it's nice seeing big companies get held to account like this.

I saw that Steam was issuing full refunds, no questions asked as well. Something about undisclosed AI artwork in the game

Bought this and Helldivers 2 today on Steam. Need to sort out a headset still. I wonder if my Xbox one will connect, I have a few bluetooth headsets, but not sure if they would be okay for this or not

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Suffers 'Terrible' Launch in Europe, With 63% Fewer Copies Sold Than Battlefield 6 — but There's Important Context to Consider - IGN WWW.IGN.COM The performance of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is starting to come into focus, with sales data suggesting it’s struggling not just against rival shooter Battlefield 6, but also last year’s Black Ops 6. Activision's 'too big to fail' statement ain't looking too good right now🤣

I need to get a mic, what's good out there?

Plus, crossplay is better now on most games because Discord is integrated into PS5. However, I'd say its actually really good to be in the game voice chat on this one. You can toggle quickly to even speak to randoms and its when the really funny interactions happen.
