  1. I've got 6 furnaces on the mining world....I'll set them going I've also got a lot of the polished varieties of stone as well as the smooth sandstone if you wanted to incorporate a relief pattern Got some dark oak as well..and dark oak saplings...and bonemeal ...don't know how fast it grows but I can experiment if you want??
  2. Okay Marina...no problems
  3. I've shuffled the torches to make it 119 x 96 blocks...still pretty big and just incorporates one of the existing structures. Might be able to shuffle it a few blocks either way. One long side is centered on the spawn point as that was at the top of the hill With the building this big, what will happen to the gate house? Do we incorporate the village within the estate walls...seen that done before. At the moment, I think you and I (and possibly Marina) will end up driving this with wing occupiers doing their own fit out works so have you had any further thoughts regarding building materials, etc ?
  4. You’d have to make the atrium bigger but I can see what you’re saying.....hit me with the new footprint size and I’ll shuffle the torches
  5. Go to this thread Mike and ask to be added
  6. Hi Mike Yes it is PC only on our own server...Has Bart (Sennex) put you on the white list?
  7. Have a quick look tonight....D2 servers are down for maintenance untill 8.00pm
  8. Or reduce to 6 wings around one central atrium? Possibly make each of the 6 wings (apartments) two storey?
  9. ...uumm..Houston, we may have a problem...it's not big, it's mahoosive!! I've done the outline in torches and from /warp communal at night you struggle to see the far wall 96 blocks away!!! Have a look and see what you think - we can do it (just) with some judicious infilling/excavating before we hit the village but I think internally it will be cavernous
  10. OK...I'll go and play
  11. Plus the central corridor between the two wing blocks If you have a rough idea of the total ground floor footprint of the building, tell me and I'll mark it out in torches/fences on the site (non-invasive if we change our mind) to give us a feel of the size
  12. Stick of inches = ruler or scale rule Size...hmmm! I think it all revolves around the central atriums. Their size will be dictated the stairs going up, which will probably be by trial and error and looks like it will be a square (which probably also makes it easier). So let’s call that A x A If the first floor corridor is two blocks wide, then the inner walls will be A+4 x A+4 If the room size is say 6 blocks wide, the overall block of four wings would be A+16 x A+16 That would give you a room dimension of (A+10) x 6....I think! Please feel free to freestyle on this!
  13. No problem if it's a guesstimate - I was an estimator before I hung up my stick of inches C'mon, let's do this or I'll need to extend Marina's veg patch again!
  14. Nice mate, makes it easier ti visualise, maybe the first floor wings need to be higher?
  15. Nope...just curious mate...everyday's a school day
  16. Hi Bart... the resource world seems bigger this time - did you do that? I'm currently on -2100 I thought it was less than that last time
  17. Had a look today...seems a good location although, given the size of the proposed build, I think we may end up doing some infill (or developing a basement!) I've left a warp point with a view if anyone wants to check it out and comment.. /warp communal
  18. Make them solid then chew 'em out if you want to use the gaps....mind you, shafts will need some local "architectural compromise" if they don't line up with anything below
  19. 3 or 4 should be ok to do things in
  20. Greboth What do you think about internal walls between the wings? I was thinking these need to be about 3 blocks thick to allow for built in furniture as well as shafts etc
  21. Hi Marina, Love the pictures! Here's a thought..Greboth mentioned kidnapping villagers to create our own village, either inside or outside the walls, why don't we keep the country house and walls as some form of stone and you create the village using wood? We did miss you and your farm on the mining world has...err..been extended slightly
  22. "Gimme the cash !! " I think you need t add the stairs from the ground floor to the wings to get it right in my head
  23. Correct!! Nice one!
  24. Let me try again.... Come in by the front entrance to a reception area. Archways to the left and right under W3 and W5 respectively to the areas shaded green. These double height areas to be stairs to the first floor areas. At the top of the stairs, "minstrel gallery" landings give access to the wings as well as views to the atriums below. As the wings W1 to W8 and the double height stairs are the only things on the first floor they will all have two external walls each. The double height atriums could also possibly have domed glass roof lights I hope that makes sense
