  6. https://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/33604/milne-considered-search-for-new-boss-to-run-past-end-of-season Excerpt:- Lincoln City boss Danny Cowley and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who is understood to have held discussions with Evans, are currently the joint-favourites for the job at 5-1 with Bet Victor. Paul Cook, whose Wigan side secured their return to the Championship at the weekend, is behind them at 6-1 with Tony Mowbray, whose Blackburn team now looks all but certain to join them, the fourth favourite at 10-1. St Mirren’s Jack Ross, whose squad has already secured the Scottish Championship title, is fifth favourite at 16-1 along with VVV-Venlo’s Maurice Steijn, who has played down reports in Holland claiming he has already been lined up to take over at Heerenveen this summer. i must admit I would prefer the Cowley brothers over Stevie G as I think he would view us as a steppingstone and Marcus Evans has been stung by a high profile ex-player before in the the shape of Roy “Mr Happy” Keane. Failing that, Tony Mowbray but I can’t see him leaving a club he’s just got promoted with....he would certainly have a load of love from the fans here though!
  7. Course we love him! What a way to sign off your playing career..... Ipswich Town He later moved on to Ipswich Town, where he played for five years, becoming the team captain. He scored an equalising goal in the 2000 Division One playoff final victory against Barnsley. Ipswich won the match 4–2 and secured promotion to the FA Premier League. This match was both Mowbray's Wembley debut and the last of his playing career.
  8. C’mon Lee, surely you can count to 3?
  9. Please can we have Mogga back??
  10. 83%? Totally nailed?? Well played though
  11. Bob, you’re just soooooo competative!

  13. Wenger’s gone! Arsene Wenger is to leave Arsenal at the end of the season, ending a near 22-year reign as manager. The Frenchman departs a year before his latest contract was due to expire. The Gunners are sixth in the league and set to miss out on a top-four spot for the second straight season, with their hopes of reaching the Champions League resting on winning the Europa League. Wenger, 68, won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups, including the Double in 1998 and 2002. "I am grateful for having had the privilege to serve the club for so many memorable years," said Wenger. "I managed the club with full commitment and integrity. "To all the Arsenal lovers, take care of the values of the club." Arsenal say a successor will be appointed "as soon as possible". Arsenal majority shareholder Stan Kroenke described Friday's announcement as "one of the most difficult days we have ever had in all our years in sport". He added: "One of the main reasons we got involved with Arsenal was because of what Arsene has brought to the club on and off the pitch. "His longevity and consistency over such a sustained period at the highest level of the game will never be matched." The American praised Wenger's "exceptional record", adding that he "transformed the identity of our club and of English football with his vision for how the game can be played". Appointed on 1 October 1996, he is the Premier League's current longest-serving manager and has taken charge of a record 823 games. But some fans have turned on the Frenchman over the past two seasons as a result of their league performances. Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Newcastle was their 11th in the league this season, equalling their worst tally in a campaign under Wenger. They are 33 points behind leaders Manchester City, who have 87 points, and the same number away from bottom side West Brom, who have 21. Arsenal finished outside the top four last term for the first time since Wenger arrived at the club, and are now 14 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, with five matches remaining. They face Spanish side Atletico Madrid, who are second in La Liga, in the Europa League semi-finals, with the first leg on Thursday. Wenger's ups and downs Wenger won three Premier League titles and four FA Cups in his first nine seasons in charge. In 2003-04, he became the first manager since 1888-89 to lead a team through an English top-flight season unbeaten. But after winning the 2005 FA Cup, they waited another nine years - or 3,283 days - for their next silverware. It came as they beat Hull City to win the 2014 FA Cup, before winning the trophy again the following season. Wenger won his seventh FA Cup last season, beating Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley, but finished 18 points behind Antonio Conte's Premier League champions. His side have struggled in Europe since losing to Barcelona in 2006 Champions League final. They were eliminated at the last-16 stage for the seventh successive season on their last appearance in the competition in 2017, losing 10-2 on aggregate to Bayern Munich. In 2006, they moved into the £390m Emirates Stadium after leaving Highbury. The Gunners have consistently spent less than their main Premier League rivals on new signings, but Wenger twice broke the club's transfer record this season. France striker Alexandre Lacazette joined in the summer for £46.5m, while his final signing was Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for £56m in January. Who's next? Former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel has already been linked with the job, while Wenger himself said former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira "has the potential" to succeed him. Tuchel is the favourite with the bookies at the moment, ahead of Germany boss Joachim Low and former Real Madrid, AC Milan and Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti. "We have high ambitions to build on Arsene's remarkable tenure and to honour his vision by ensuring Arsenal competes for and wins the biggest and most important prizes in the game," added Kroenke. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43834283
  14. LOL, miss you too - pay the bill quickly and get back online!
  15. How do people feel about a sort of levy? Running the forum is important and costs money but it's what we use as a family'home' FGFGF is important cuz it's for the family that use the home whether their newbies or old codgers. So, unless it's a 'special case/emergency' why not use 10% of each donation and put it towards running costs. If you get too much (that's good because people have been generous) put some back in the pot. Let people opt out if they prefer but it just makes it simple for donors That's my £0.02. Any thoughts people?
  16. Rob, I just checked and you need to be TH6 to join in clan games. Don’t forget to request troops cuz we have some nice stuff if you have the space for them
  17. I can see Liverpool v. Bayern final and we’d see if LFC have the nous/ experience required to win it I can also Arsenal being beaten home and away I’m afraid
  18. OMM is a disrespectful reference to bowls Phil
  19. @The3rdWalker Rob ...clan application accepted - you passed the test, now it’s just the initiation ceremony!
  20. Certainly miss that ginger whinger! Am I the only one who would like to see all those maps brought back exactly as they are but with higher resolution/better quality graphics? I would probably pay good money for them as well
  21. Neves for me! For those that haven’t seen it....
  22. Done and thanks Rich
  23. I wondered what the hell you were on about Lee....then I realised we’d derailed the thread with Old Men’s Marbles!
  24. Naw, I’d like to think we’re a bit more edgy...a bit like this...
  25. I don’t think so but it’s been a long while since I’ve done it. IIRC you look for the clan you want to join and request to join. When you do that a notification appears in the message stream with the option to accept or reject. If that doesn’t work I’ll change the setting to “let any random twat in” but then, due to the time difference and our two schedules I’ll have to spend time kicking out a load of people who thought we were nice and welcoming and got in with you!
