Try going old school Steve, write him a letter. Better than the phone or FB in a situation like this as you have time to compose, reflect and get your thoughts straight

You don't have to be macho to be a man

Childrens TV - Andy Pandy, The Wooden Tops, The Flowerpot Men, Muffin The Mule (I kid you not, the days of innocence) and TV was black and white
Family TV (yes, we all watched TV together kids, in one room!!!) - Z Cars, Dixon of Dock Green, Sunday Night at The London Palladium, Doctor Who, The Saint
Football (not eggball) - two teams of 11 with no substitutes
Family car - Ford Prefect no seatbelts fitted
My first cars - Learnt in a Rover 100 (2 1/4 ton straight 6 monster!) and Mk 1 Ford Cortina
Information Resources - walk to the Public Library, an absolutely brillant place which made you think!!
Those were the days!!

Adam, the polite way is something like this:-
"Hi there, welcome to our site. That's an unusual name you have there - what does it mean?"
Manners? *facepalm*

Hi there!
-
Welcome back!
-
it's my time of the month!
-
Thanks for the advice, I'll leave it bloated

Nice post! Any suggestions for removing unwanted "embedded" apps that come pre-installed on a Samsung handset? I don't want to "break" it in case I really do break it!
-
Like I said, they're a nice bunch Chris! And there some interesting and funny threads kicking around the place

This will interest Mrs Plumber, the household petrol head, more than me but a good post - thanks!!

I see some pretty sad kids around my age. I can't stand it when people don't treat others with respect. Although,at least over here, I don't think the problem is bad. It is clear that interactions/dynamic between children and parent have changed, my mum tells me how she was treated compared to me. However, in most cases I don't think it is a problem, I know the respect I need to show but I also know when to voice my opinion.
This is what a lot of young people lack
On a related point, it's also knowing to wait to be acknowledged rather than butting into a conversation but, sadly, there is no age bar to this one

Noticed there's a number of new faces on the forum lately who might not have seen the old Eurogamer thread so here's an invite.....
A bunch of us are meeting up at Eurogamer 2013 on 28 September. Unfortunately all the tickets for the gig are sold out but there are plans for some socialising after so if any of you can get to Earls Court London and fancy putting faces and voices to names post on http://forevergaming.co.uk/index.php?/topic/125-eurogamer-september-2013/ and we'll include you in when we organise the after party location
Dave/Mods - can we sticky this and the other Eurogamer thread until after the event (and incriminating videos/pictures) please?
-
Phil, why don't you meet up with some of us after Eurogamer (gig has sold out now)?
-
Cal - I love your sig!!
-
How can you run when your arms and legs are all tied up?
Enter, stage left, Rich the Bondage King!
-
I don't like videos. I'll run away.
Do the filming then but I'm sure Bees will be upset - to quote Bruce Forsyth "you're his favourite"
-
-
you need probably 2 volunteers with video cameras and, I'm sorry, but I haven't got one
-
You guys crack me up! You take the rise outta me because of my age but you all sound like me, had education like me and got brought up like me. :)
Imma gonna follow this thread with interest!!
-
I might be able to cut my denim jean trouser legs up the seam and sew in some coloured fabric triangles to make loon pants but I got rid of the platform shoes - kept hitting my head on the door frame!
-
Cal - i thought you were coming over?
-
^ yep, the creepy avatar is quite apt I feel!!
-
Thanks for the helpful posts guys but I think I may stick with Dolphin, it works really well.
Oh and I think of myself as mature rather than old!
