  1. Something good to cheer you all up:-

Honesty pays off for homeless Boston man

Donations of more than $110,000 (£67,000) have poured in from across the US for a Boston homeless man who returned a lost bag with $42,000 in it.

Glen James alerted police after he found the backpack containing cash and traveller's cheques last weekend, and the bag's owner was then tracked down.

A complete stranger later started an online fund for Mr James after reading media reports about his honesty.

The man, Ethan Whittington, now plans to meet Mr James to give him the money.

Mr Whittington, who lives in Midlothian, Virginia, said he was so overwhelmed by Mr James' honesty that he decided to start the fund.

"The fact that he's in the situation he is, being homeless, it blew my mind that he would do this,'' Mr Whittington was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.

He said his idea of starting donations on a crowdfunding website for Mr James "caught on like wildfire ever since".

"It's brought me a lot of hope. This isn't only about rewarding a great guy. I think it's a statement to everyone in America.

"If we come together and work toward one thing and work together, then we can make it happen."

Meanwhile, Mr James, a former Boston courthouse employee, said that he would not have kept "even a penny" of the money he had found in the backpack - even if he were desperate.

  2. Sounds good Dave :)

Having got the cheap laugh out of the way, what is a vanilla URL?

I agree with Cal about saving the merchandising until forum numbers are up but maybe have a core set of designs ready to roll as it were. Perhaps have members submit designs and then run a poll?

I'm with Cal on the grammar aspect as well! :)

  3. My sig?

"I look to the sky and see a plane, and I ask myself 'Where's it headed? Who's traveling in it? What could they looking for in their search for something better?' "

But fuhgawzzz was refering to my user title..."The new Auptyk". xD

Nice and I hadn't spotted the user title :)
  4. I'm pretty sure the stats are shared with both. One of Swords, Activision's community manager, had a blog post about it yesterday that you could search for. It also talked about being able to get the PS4 version for $10 after buying the PS3 version. Heading to bed or I'd link it for you.

Thanks man, I've read the article and it looks like it's good for me. :)

  5. Thanks guys but what happens if I want to play with PS4 friends one night then PS3 friends the next night? Is your game account interchangeable between the two or is it once you've transfered it to the PS4 you can't go back?

  6. This may have been asked and answered before. If so, I'm sorry for not searching hard enough but can you help with the following questions

If I buy a PS4 and link it to my PSN account can I still use my PS3 on that account (not at the same time)?

If so, specifically on CoD:Ghosts would my stats, weapon unlocks, etc. update between machines?

I'm thinking if I do buy a PS4 I want to keep the PS3 for gaming with friends who don't update. I realise I would have to get two copies of the game

  7. I, Obamakwakeyna, present to you the most down voted picture on Know Your Meme:

    6db.jpg

On KYM (a site with a significant brony presence), a mission was launched to create the most disliked, vile image ever created.

    And so it was.

It even has -666 favorites. How the he'll did this happen? x)

    The comments are hilarious.

No one is taking it seriously and it's a gold mine for reaction pics.http://knowyourmeme.com/photos/368632-my-little-pony-friendship-is-magic

Hit the link in the spoiler and scroll down to the cat in the bath - LOL!
  8. PS3 was the first console I ever owned. I deliberatly chose the PS3 because it had a Blu-Ray DVD but primarily as my son had an Xbox 360 :)

I'd played PC games inthe past, mainly strategy based, the old school early Doom and some C&C but I was determined to master (lol "master" 0.7'ish K/D :) ) a FPS after failing dismally on my son's Xbox and being gently derided for being unable to negotiate my way out of a corner in the training school !!

But the main thing I'll remember the PS3 for is the number of friends I've made through gaming on it, and this associated forum, a great bunch of characters, especially my first "virtual" friends Gary and Mazzer.

    Game on, PS3 :)
