  1. With a new game and a new clan there seems to be a load of invites flying around which, coz I'm polite I try to answer as soon as possible

To speed up replies, and to cut down on me dying so often, can I suggest a few abbreviations:-

PYUA - Pick you up after we finish this game

SFP - Sorry, in a full party, try again in a while

SOLO - I'm a bit moody today and want to play by myself

TBNT - Thanks but not tonight  (you could use this if you're online playing with IRL friends)

TROL - As Tam said, arsing around only invite me again if you're up for laffs

FOOD - Sorry, going soon for grub, might be back on after

ZZZZ - Thanks but finishing soon for the night

Make some suggestions and I'll add/amend the OP

  2. Ramsey's been doing an awesome job for my dream team this year. I thought Wilshire would be the one to watch this year, but really pleased to see a British player coming into his own like this. Arsenal looking really good on all fronts. Who'd have lunk it pre season!!

Got him in mine as well - only chose him to make up the numbers coz he was cheap! :)

  3. @xethius - I think I may have an outstanding friend request from you (sorry!) which I will accept next time I'm on.

I'll try and invite you and Gary from within game as above. If you don't have a valid CoD account it will tell me

  4. Just found this

The links may not work at this point as that was party of the early registration process. I would suggest going into the game, finding your friend in your friends list (in-game), and inviting them to the clan. They can then find that invite in-game in the Barracks / Clan Invites section. It's quite simple really.

If you have a mobile phone that works with their app then you can install the app and manage installs that way too.

I'll try and remember to try this later

  5. I went with playertd12 :P

So there is no reason to use elite now? This new site is taking it's place?

Call of Duty: Ghosts clans replaces Elite but your previous data is carried over. There was early registration, which we did and managed to get 4 of us enrolled in the clan before they locked it down until tomorrow. Check http://forevergaming.co.uk/index.php/topic/440-clan-merge-thread-join-us-on-elite/page-13 for further details (we thought it was going to be. Elite when the thread was started) and for the joining link tomorrow sometime (hopefully)

    Nothing is easy with them.

    They couldn't organise a pi$$ up in a brewery!
  6. No, I haven't come over to the dark side!

Diddums was giving some advice for my son who wants to build a gaming rig for ~£800 inc Win7 but excluding keyboard, mouse and monitor. As we all know, Dave has his own problems at the moment so I was wondering if some of you guys could make some comments or suggestions on the following spec:-

    CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor £79.99

    CPU Cooler:Noctua NH-U12P SE2 54.4 CFM £49.88

    Motherboard: Asus SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 ATX AM3+ £129.00

    Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 £62.13

    Storage:

OCZ Vector Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk £86.98

    Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive £83.99

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 660 3GB £187.58

Case: Thermaltake Chaser A31 ATX Mid Tower Case £71.31

Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply £54.68

    Optical Drive: LG GH24NS95 DVD/CD Writer £12.74

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) £65.99

Is the Windows 7 in 64bit overkill? Any other observations welcome
