  1. Yep good idea Gazza - I only put the afternoon down so it didn't put a downer on peoples regular gaming My problems with VoG is map awareness (need to run it multiple times to get it to sink in), relic holding and remembering strategies...........and staying alive!
  2. I've seen a number of people in various threads asking for help with raids and I started thinking - why don't we start an organised raid school? If we had a simple structure where, if you're interested in raids, you start with the VoG on normal. Do that until you're really comfortable with it and can do all the strategies then move on to hard mode. Rinse and repeat with that then, CE normal, then CE hard If the guys like Stretch, Crispy, Techno, etc who are now trying to do VoG flawless can teach people like me Mazzer, Gary, etc the VoG normal so we're really good then we can take over teaching normal while learning hard and so on It would probably be a 2-3 hour session at a time so a regular Saturday or Sunday afternoon may be better and also wouldn't impinge on evening gaming sessions I've put my thoughts out on a UK basis for time zone reasons only but all would be welcome or possibly start another one on American time zones Any thoughts people?
  3. That's me out then! I'll probably be asleep by then
  4. Me, Gary and Mazz will probably be about Euan - a strike is generally one of the episodes of the story so it shouldn't be a problem for you unless you chose a strike level that's way over the top for your character
  5. May be a bit simplistic to say but, looking at those clips, the hardest part is getting to that point??
  6. According to the Bungie weekly update, Xur sold 1,143,320 Icebreakers last weekend!
  7. Nice one Rodd, glad you made it! You can find out about some of us here:- http://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic/2030-hey-new-guy-get-to-know-us/
  8. Friday night and Sunday evening/night
  9. Thanks to everyone who helped Rodd, my mate from work, through the strikes and VoG last night. Rodd is normally a Crucible guy but understands he needs to do the other parts of the game to progress He sent me a text this morning saying "they're were all a good bunch of guys, especially Stretch" which I think sums our community up. Thanks again, guys!
  10. Thinking of you all, big fella.....
  11. Gary, you sir are a bit of a beast!!
  12. Saw this from a link on Hectors PPR and thought it was pretty neat but can't work out how to show it as a complete image Need to get the Warlock raiding ASAP for gear drops! http://destinystatus.com/psn/PlumbersCrack56 Just approaching 400 hours played!!
  13. If I'm on I'll play a couple with you Euan - you're doing a bounty, I presume?
  14. Big question is can you go back to bed when you've finished it?
  15. Yep + loadsa interwebz rep!!
  16. Destiny! You don't need the expansion straight away as you'll need to level your character(s) upfirst which can take a while
  17. Big thanks to Techno for trying to get 3 enthusiastic amateurs and a noob through VoG.....maybe next weekend in smaller groups
