  1. Wow, I've bypassed this thread, but saw that Steve posted so decided to check in. Dangle's post would have torqued me up pretty hard. But then I remind myself that "normals" as I call them, really can't even begin to grasp addiction. They just can't. Granted, not everyone who is morbidly obese is addicted to food, but I'd guess that the majority are, or they're addicted to something else that has calories, like alcohol. In which case, the solution is not as simple as man-up and get your shit together. Dangle is good dude
  2. PM'd you Dustin
  3. Owl family photo taken a few years ago, the rat and greyhound on the left have passed on, may they RIP.
  4. I can't help but picture this LT as looking like:
  5. I should've seen that coming. *face palm*
  6. I don't think there's a correct defacto answer as politics is all about the personalities involved. The right way to handle it depends a ton on your personality, his personality, and your relationship. From the sound of things you did fine, he probably just really wanted you for the job so didn't want to take no for answer. If he's not the petty type then this should be the end of it I'd think. If your relationship is good, you could also go to him or fire him an email saying "hey, I hope you're not offended I didn't take the job, I really do appreciate it, it's just better for my family this way blah blah blah."
  7. When I read this I pictured this:
  8. I was deathly allergic to cats, to the point I've had to leave people's houses because I couldn't breathe. When I met my wife-to-be, she came with a cat and at first it was awful, but after years of living with the cat, my allergy has completely disappeared. I can pick her up and bury my face in her fur without a problem. Even if you weren't to be as lucky as I was, there are allergy injections and such that could make having a cat a possibility. Might be worth considering, as I think having pets is extraordinarily rewarding.
  9. Chris and Tommy, I'm this close *holds fingers 1/8 inch apart* to exploding on you to the point it could jeopardize the harmony of the forum. I'm disgusted to be honest with your obvious disdain for Datte. Yes, people need to work hard to succeed, no shit, but not everyone starts life with the same hand of cards. Datte's still young but has already lived through a lifetime's worth of shit, yet he tries to be positive about it, tries to have a sense of humor about it, and is trying to walk the path of the righteous when most in his position would take the easy way out. We are his family, we are his friends, we're the ones he should be able to talk to and get support in return, not the negative comments you two keep throwing at him, like he's messing up your forum by just being honest about his life.
  10. *looks for the 'like all' button*
  11. I fall in line with Nolan's way of thinking, I like bullet sponging as it mitigates the twitch/aim aspect and puts the focus more on other aspects of the game. I'm sure DICE is in a tough spot trying to strike a balance between making a "Battlefield" game and EA screaming at them to take market share from CoD.
  12. Beautiful dog bro.
  13. Pictures will be forthcoming, but I have (or have had): 3 greyhounds 3 angora rabbits 3 rats 1 cat 1 fish
  14. I agree with McNasty, the world is turned upside down, the apocalypse is at hand. Dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria.
  15. AbsolutelyPositive feelings of camaraderie > Negative anger at douche baggery
  16. Come to New England!!
  17. I'm solely recruiting people for multiplayer, they can go back and play the campaign for ME1-3 when I've finished with them. xD
  18. You should also consider playing mass effect 3 with me, only $12.71 at amazon.com right now, it will totally help.
  19. Do it http://www.amazon.com/Mass-Effect-3-PC/dp/B004FYKWZU
  20. *flap flap flap* What's this... How may I be of assistance? So, not really my area of expertise, all I can say is that melatonin has done wonders for me. I've never used any other kind of sleep aid. Also, darkness. Darkness is what tells your body to produce melatonin on its own. Staring into a bright monitor with the lights on just before going to bed won't do you any favors. I take 3mg of melatonin 1 hour before bed time, not every night, just nights where I anticipate difficulty falling asleep. Sunday night especially; I fuck up my sleep patterns on the weekend. Other than that, I haven't done any real research on the subject; I'm sure you know more than I do. Definitely don't recommend drinking though!!!! We both know what lies at the end of that path, death in a pool of vomit or crumpled car, you're far too awesome to go out like that. <3
  21. I don't think they can possibly have a fee since this game is brand new, now if it's a huge success, the second and third installments might be more likely candidates for pay to play.
  22. I'm in the CoD can fuck off camp, I'll have no trouble keeping busy until Destiny comes out.
  23. It's a perk: Owl Vision
