  1. Nice Steve, he's a good looking fish.
  2. I got up to rank 3, now I'm on my way to Virginia for a week's vacation.
  3. Gwent is awesome. High Stakes was a great side quest.
  4. I don't think the following contains any real spoilers, but you've been warned. The game suggests that Yen is like a mother to Ciri and Triss is like a cool aunt or older sister. If you romance Yen, Triss clearly resents her for it but she keeps her yap shut and remains cordial. At no point during Witcher 3 does it explain that stuff about Triss manipulating him in the past. It only references how Geralt lost his memory after escaping from the Royal Hunt, which opened the door to his past romance with Triss, him not remembering about Yen and all. All that stuff from the books you posted makes me happier than ever to have gone with Yen. Various forum polls I've seen suggest a majority of people go with Triss. (I bet at least in part because the option to romance her comes first in the story.) God this is a great game. I should really finish it what with the barren wasteland Destiny has become.
  5. Things would probably be a lot easier if I used alchemy, I just don't think of it unless I'm getting stymied. I recall the banshee by the well being a bitch of a fight, but I don't think I used oil. I could be wrong though. I know for sure I juiced up against the werewolf outside the spirit in the tree and at the battle of Kaer Morhen. And I agree, Yen all the way. I've tapped that twice already. The only female you can have multiple relations with (aside from prostitutes of course).
  6. Save, lots, use all your save slots. The consequences of some of your decisions will not be revealed for several hours. I've played through the first 3 acts on Death March difficulty, and I did so at a snail's pace, relishing every moment. If you just want to plow through the main story, you're doing it wrong. Go play something else. I almost never use alchemy, though I've unlocked almost all the various potions and oils. I get through most encounters fine without it, but there have been a few tough ones where they come in handy. I also go into every encounter well over-leveled because of how thoroughly I play the game. Your most important choice: Triss or Yen.
  7. That post was for an audience of one, and here you are. [emoji1]
  8. Raining Solar Grenades. This will be like AD&D Meteor Swarm! [emoji41]
  9. You need to play guitar and start a ZZ Top cover band.
  10. I wonder if catapult stacks with Radiance... [emoji50]
  11. My pleasure Gary. I really enjoy helping people along and we will absolutely finish what we started!
  12. I think I'm permanently Justin to Maria. I didn't want to mess with her head by correcting her. [emoji38]
  13. Such cowardice to attack unsuspecting civilians. Dear people of France, our hearts and thoughts are with you, may you rise above this tragedy strong and proud, vive la France.
  14. I'll grab Obsidian Mind in preparation for getting Void ability kills for the sword. The other stuff I'll pass on.
  15. I was going to share this, might as well stick it here: http://kotaku.com/for-two-months-all-i-played-was-destiny-i-m-taking-a-1741788398 Sorry, but copying the article text is too big a pain on my phone. When I took my break from Destiny, it was primarily because they obsoleted all the gear I had worked so hard for. The infusion mechanic rights this wrong, assuming we will be able to keep infusing y2 items no matter how high the light level cap rises. The amount of time it takes to get stuff, or level stuff doesn't bother me. I play simply because I enjoy the act of playing, and when I no longer do, I'll stop. Whether it takes 5 hours or 5 months to max out a pair of boots makes no difference to me. That said, I completely understand where you're coming from Bart. Ultimately, there's only so long one can play the same game before it becomes stale and there's no amount of patching that will change that. CoD has been doing this forever with the prestige mechanic. Is there anything more pointless in all of gaming than completely resetting your progress for a bit of 'prestige'? It's there for no reason other than to keep people playing ad nauseum.
  16. I felt the same, but it was inevitable. At least you can access all the other online stuff without it, so if you're not playing and MP games, just cancel the subscription.
  17. It's only $50 for the year and you get some decent free games. For example, ME2 is free on PS3 this month.
  18. GTFOAce of Spades [emoji38]
  19. It seems to me that with every iteration, the guns seem less real and more like really fancy plastic toys.
  20. Don't listen to him Doc, you need to PS4 to play ME Andromeda with me. [emoji41]
  21. It's just femshep, in your individual universe, Shep can be either male or female.
  22. CoD4 was the only CoD that had a memorable campaign. I remember the mission One Shot One Kill like it was yesterday. That shit was awesome.
  23. Anyone else notice that the very last note played in both trailers is the first note heard in Mass Effect 1? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_JVEXDrJYg
  24. It makes GG more effective versus bosses, essentially doubling the total damage output, but you only get one shot (hence why it's good for bosses and not trash).fwiw, Nightstalker may be more useful, but I still find Gunslinger the most fun sub to play in the whole game, even though I prefer the Warlock overall.
