Yeah the soft lock was annoying but in some ways it just cemented the knowledge. The more we do of the earlier stuff the sooner  we get to a point we can blast through it all in one go. Feel bad for @Bluebear  who missed out on loot as a result of the lock but congrats to @Riff Machine  for stepping in and picking up that role - thought the stun team were on it from the start. I need to start learning the symbol role to help out, sounds horrible and glitchy so we all need to suffer a bit! GG's everyone. Lets see if we can progress it a bit further on Thursday. when hopefully we can all get back on. 

Good start last night with a team of FGers that haven't experienced the Caretaker phase on VotD Raid.
 
Consistency is key and finding all the symbols and remembering them can take a bit of time 😅 The feelings of the whole team after finishing first and second sections was a great feeling to hear. Everyone was so happy just getting a part done and it didn't matter it was only half the raid.
 
Only disappointment is the 2nd part softcover on us as we finished it about 90 mins before we got off so essentially it felt like Caretaker practice!

So. Who is Zaxzar?
 
Well great question. Can start with the what. A year ago I was 36, and went by the name of Lars. Today I am 37 and goes by the name Sarah. 
Confused? Well let me clarify. I am a 37 year old transgender woman. Been out for a little over half a year. I go by she/her. I know this is something that can be instinctive challenging when communicating over voice chats, because I haven't started voice training yet. So I forgive you in advanced if/when you get this wrong. As long it isn't done on purpose, we are just A-OK. ❤️😁👌
 
Okay. to what really matters. Who am I (at least gaming wise), and how did I end up in your community?
 
It started a very long time ago on a Commodore 64. A little later in life I got my older brothers Amiga 500. Here I played a game called "Sid Meyer's Pirates". This is where my gamer tag Zaxzar got born. So I have been using this tag at least 25+ years.
 
I have played PC most of my life, but over the last 5+ or so years, I have moved to PlayStation.
 
Of my all-time favorite games I can mention:
 
Sid Meyer's Colonization
Sid Meyer's Pirates 
Sonic I and II
Curse of Monkey Island (the first 4 at least)
Deux Ex (the original one. Wow what a story)
Zelda
World of Warcraft (the first few expansions. The panda expansion kind of killed it for me)
Diablo 1+2+3 (I moved to PlayStation somewhere after Diablo 3 got released. I started on PC in that game, but moved to PlayStation. Fun fact: I was number 1 in the world in the hardcore ranking on my monk in 2 seasons)
 
After I started to burn out on Diablo 3, PS Plus made the base game of Destiny 2 free when they released Forsaken. And I picked it up. And have been hooked ever since.
 
In Destiny I have been quite enveloped and engaged in the community. I used to run PvE recovs alot (have done around 100 Petra's run recovs for example) But this started to burn me out quite a bit, and stepped back from all of that. The people you play with that does this as a business are very very toxic. If you make a mistake in a speedrun of a raid, with a fireteam if recovs, shit really hits the fan. Because time is money. 
I liked the aspect of challenges of speedrunning, no matter the account I was on. But if the toxicity is there, it just ain't for me.
 
Been in a lot of the highly competitive clans, and also been admin in all of them.
One of the latest clans I was in was Valhalla. First I stepped down as admin, because of an increasing frustration I had with some aspects of the leadership, and the workload.
I then left them after a transphobic attack on me from an admin. I demanded an apology, and wasn't given one, and there was no consequences. For me inaction is the same as greenlighting it, so I chose to move on. This wasn't the only reason I left tho, but it did make it easy for me. The general tone of the forums, had become more and more juvenile over time. And with this, toxic.
I joined an old clan of mine, where alot of my friends where still in after, but left them because they where too PvP focused for my taste.
 
And now I am here. ❤️ 
Why did I join you? Well I joined because I heard of you through teenwolf, after he also left Valhalla. He spoke highly of you, and have had the pleasure of playing with some of you through his friendship over the years too.
I thought that if the rest of you are just half as enjoyable to play with as them, this is gonna be a good home for me.
 
What do I focus on today? I am still mainly focused on raids and PvE content. Not as much as I used to do. Lost a lot of my passion for raiding after they sunset more than half the raids in the game.

Super pumped for this, there’s a lot more here than I thought, 50 weapons being added, 13+ Fragments for void 3.0, new season ( season of the risen) kicking off the same day as expansion so a lot for us to get our teeth into which is awesome following this dry period, it’s going to feel overwhelming in a good way, I’m also looking forward to the campaign then going back on legendary for that challenge and extra rewards, they said if you like campaigns like doom, god of war and Titan fall 2 then  we’ll like this one, either way I’m hyped and the vidoc was really good, bring on the 22nd!

Right, firstly, great thread to start a discussion Justin @FallenDark200 . I appreciate people are starting to creep out of the woodwork and be more visible for the overall cause. I can't ever get enough of that.
 
The concept is great, the mechanics is a little different in how it would work. I looked into a Points system before which had many integrations, and it can work but its complexity can also cause errors and not really work in how want to. Rather than look at the solution, what we're trying to achieve here is essentially a perk that gives back to FGers that help out in special ways e.g. donating to the FGFGF and overall cause. Based on that and what we can pull out on here, is a way to create a specific group from when either people donate. I can also link that to a membership style element that could be easier for people so its already set up rather than having to chip in as and when.
 
However, you also have to consider people for the last few years have donated just off the back of their goodness and when its financially right for them to do so. That choice should never be taken away. I look at this as a great addition and incentive to help people that already donate get potentially something back and encourage others to chip in and 'share the load' as we sometimes say over here.
 
I started drafting membership style things anyway so people can gain more from this place over time, and hopefully that alongside Achievements will be great ways for people to have fun here and help many other FGers in the process - because thats what the end goal should be about.

True I understand the complexity behind it. I know the mule work would be a pain and a half to get it off the ground but your one guy. I totally agree with you and clive on the kindness thing and donating. I don't want it to come off as people have to do this, but as a group a family and a community the growth behind this could be huge if it takes off. I know im only one person who might not make a difference but to see it be possible for everyone to be in a tight nit circle doing things even more together monthly or quarterly in the beginning would be awesome. Just trying to get ideas out there that would be a good cause to make the circle bigger and closer and make people keep coming back and maybe to indever to meeting new people and playing other games myself included. Surely it's a idea but I could be wrong might not be situational for some. If we could just have a huge outcome would be mental. I know what it felt like to receive my Hoodie a year ago from fg and still wear it today proudly. Just trying to get options out there to make FG even more fun exciting and to have those real in life things to hold onto be like yeah look at this.

They do tbh - Master difficulty exists for VoG and they have said they are adding future Master difficulties to them. Some people want a different challenge to pick up numerous roles in a smaller team issall. The Master difficulties give out subtely better loot e.g. Timelost versions of the weapons which give extra mod/perks. Not sure why we don't get many people trying them?
 
I'd definitely be up for trying Master versions of the raids too btw alongside these!

I’ll be down to give it a go eventually, it’s just finding the time to sit down and get into it without the possibility of having to jump off due to having a 1 year old with me 90% of the time but definitely something to keep in mind, On another note does FG do the worlds first race for raids, would like to get a team together for the Witch queen one?

We had 2 teams running Day 1 for VoG.
 
We will most likely again see who wants to run Day 1 for Witch Queen raid (with less drama on team formation, promise).
 
But, realistically, full PC player teams will always win that race.
 
I assume the FG raiders @Baabcat , @Venom , me, @TurboR56Mini , @GazzaGarratt, @Bluebear , @Kemp210  will want in. As well as @Leeesh13 , @Forty6_N_two , @FallenDark200 , @Riff Machine ... and some newer ones too.
 
Would love to see who would be in... even those who I have not mentioned.

yes it would be good fun to get some of those going around!

Also there was some talk about 'low-manning' raids, would be good to give that a go
