I think people are going to be surprised when they hop on Sunday. Litterally when we take them to all the bases and outpost and get them the items they need. I don't think we have takin over I think we have made ease of use for others who can't play as much so they can come in and experience a good time and maybe influence more to jump on by seeing a lot of @TurboR56Mini  @RenFengge  hard work. I have been more of get on run and collect materials build a little and get off with my schedule. Also Carl did you end up seeing what I did to the merchant base today?

@RenFengge  and I were busy tonight after a long day at work. Main base now has a full smelting, 9 pigs a breeding, and some patched fence work. Merchant base now has a troll hunting tower that @FallenDark200 and I worked on. Getting ready for Sunday!!
 

Not much progress on the exploring. Except, well, we have a new outpost northeast of Home Base. Map update news will be posted after tonight's session. I want to try to put together a better map, and rename "Shopping Base" after much "discussion" with @TurboR56Mini .
 
Also, surprised he didn't mention why the pig pen at Home Base is bigger... I wanted to build a gate to make it easier to trap new, wild pigs (I want a 2 star pig). Didn't realize that I didn't have much wood on me. Thus, the pigs got out hahaha. 
 
Interesting to note. The pigs LOVED being outside the gate. So many hearts everywhere. We started with 9 pigs. I culled 3 that got out. We re-trapped all the tame pigs. Yet, still ended up with 9 pigs and 2 piggies.
 
We were having a little fun with one of the trolls at the new outpost. Because I wanted copper. And, I learned that if the trolls hits one of the metal deposits, we get that metal ore before we get the tools to get it ourselves! Yes, I died. But, that's okay! We got some copper now.
 
I hope everyone else doesn't think that we now own this world. We're just on and want to make it better for everyone!

Not every game is for everyone but it's so much more fun with friends watching them getting fucked by little gobos of chopping trees down on them and killing them. The world is fun but definitely not the best graphics but the lighting is top notch imo but I agree with Lee return it when you have a chance

@RenFengge  @TurboR56Mini  thanks to both of you for helping us out today and especially me with my goofy server issues if anyone else in the U.S. has issues let us 3 know we have figured out a way to join the server because it's gated off ping for the U.K. guys and gals. So I say we are definitely getting somewhere for sure and I think if we are all on Sunday @GazzaGarratt @phil bottle maybe we try and take down the Elder as well since we have made it so far in our adventures. It will allow us to open up more things and allow us to keep pushing our skills to make our bases and homes homes much better but thank you again for all the hard work game is really great!

We know what you're like Tommy 😄 but honestly, La @RenFengge , Carl @TurboR56Mini  and Justin @FallenDark200  so far have enjoyed the experience with a number of more US people wanting to come in and help the cause too. Its a game which is fairly quietly played aswell, because many of us can easily just go off into the woods doing our thing. I mean I clearly wasn't online until past 1am last night with US people.... 😁

Graphically wise I was worried because I'm not the ultimate fan of Minecraft, but I appreciate what you can make in it. Valheim takes a Minecraft element with the graphics to a degree but they've enhanced them so if you look from the ground to the sky its a blend of all types. Something to enjoy and not really in any other game. Also, Rich @tronic44 made a very valid point the other day as for us its not much about graphics, but how animations work. Take a cutting a tree down. When you cut it down, if it falls into other trees the mechanics mean that it can knock other trees down too, in line with how you would think it would be in real life.
 
Building stuff is just so quick. No waiting, just get the stuff and build it with the Hammer. The snapping, once you understand it, is one of the best i've seen in a game that compensates for the uneven ground and other elements around you.
 
You don't play these games do you Tommy? DayZ is a survival but a way harsher scale and in fairness is about you surviving than surviving to create your own village/world. This is a chill game too so some people may want something more intense (although it does have its moments!).
 
I think the game goes into another dimension because we have our very own server so we're all working together to do stuff and explore but genuinely mate, if you ain't gonna get your money's worth, no harm in getting a refund whilst you can.

Yes, I died at sea... No, I did not have anything valuable on me. Met a feisty friend in the Ocean! Next to the Mid Blackforest Camp is a Troll. We have killed him at least 3 times. We're all getting better at it. East of the Mid Blackforest Camp Troll, the greyish white area is "Mountain". It is cold. Do not go in there unless you are able to. We have not unlocked whatever we need for it. West of the Trader/Merchant, we are building another major base (Shopping Base). The tiny islands near the shopping base has a crashed boat. It is not repairable. But, I still left the workbench out there. North of the Trader/Merchant is our Merchant Camp/Outpost. (Fun fact, I did not realize that when I built the base structure that there's a cave right under it that is being used as foundation. Surprise! We were only able to sink in about 4 hours today... so sort of progress. @GazzaGarratt and @FallenDark200  did a wonderful job on building up the Merchant Camp/Outpost! (Oh, I might have claimed 2 beds there.. just delete one) I spent a good amount of time trying to check in at our major bases and do some "housekeeping"... If anyone goes on, please remember to feed the boars! They prefer mushrooms (and carrots when we can farm them). And, refill the torches. For those who end up making new armor and weapons to replace their previous ones, save the old ones. Stick them in a base or outpost. Someone always dies. Someone always starts off naked. Might as well put the stuff to use. Totally saved my ass when I needed to collect my stuff from my grave. Depending on how much more exploring I do this week, I may have to do better than a cropped screenshot of the map. Zooming out is not helpful lol.

@RenFengge love the fact that you and Carl are going hard at this! It was fun playing with you both this morning! It's crazy how fast we are getting stuff done and it might not feel like it to you but I'd say you two got a lot of accomplishment done in 2 days. So I say after our we beat our first boss we definitely we be good to go then! You two keep up the amazing work and can't wait to play more with you two!

It sort of looks like we didn't do a lot compared to yesterday? But, we did spend more time in the Black Forest than yesterday. Fun fact? There are multiple Black Forests? I'll have to get better at making a distinction among the different ones. Yes, I died north of HQ where there is a small stone tower of orc/goblins/greydwarfs (I call them orcs). I found our merchant to use our coins and sell things like amber. He is very north. Basic outpost has been created up there. Another "potentional" base location has been scouted and listed on the map. The "Orc Nest" listed is (and any moving forward) means that at the time of writing, it still needs to be cleared/dealt with. @TurboR56Mini  did a fantastic job at building all the other outposts "to spec". He now has 3 more to do.. or anyone else who wants to make them actually nice, bigger, and workable  
 
Really wish we could share maps... Also, the first boss looks quite doable if we have at least 3 people. Seems easier than the troll. I think. Looking forward to it, so we can all finally get a pickaxe.

Just a quick note to the community regarding server behaviours.
 
1. Boss fights only take place via community calendar events.
2. Password is not to be shared beyond FG.
3. Don't be an asshat, at least to other FGers 
 
The server can't be rolled back or saved at present, so any fucking with these rules equals a permanent ban.😇

Apparently we can make our own dedicated server without having to pay for a host.
I've seen some instructions online on how to set it up. Would anyone be interested that?
