You need to renew if at that pint you still have games that you are playing. Its the one thing I dont' really like about the service. Lose your Sub, lose all those free games

Which mods does he want to play with? A lot of the videos on youtube are really far out of date, and are custom modded/ built for whatever show or story they are doing. I had to dive down this rabbit hole for my kid a few years ago, and it absolutely sucked.

At the point I am at, I will say no. Maybe further in, Yes, not sure. I know that for background characters it is the case in a few instances, but I don't remember the 3rd episode that well

As long as its replanted, take what you need. If you go into the house, on the second floor is a chest that has a ton of food stuff in it. I am going to migrate a lot of that into the windmill, but I haven't done it yet. Check both if you need to
