  1. I have no idea what I am doing in the game anymore I drove around the city for about an hour last night dicking with traffic Then I went and bought all the guns I could afford Then I went and dicked with some slot machines and lost all my money Also, did you guys know that there is a time limit on how often you can call for a car? This has been what I have done for the last few nights LOL I don't even know where the story mission is at at this point
  2. There is a hack out there to disable UPlay for it. Game supposedly runs better after it
  3. I absolutely despise the online portion. Its about as bad as I assume GTAV online was
  4. Don't read this if you don't' want slight spoilers: So last Monday I was sitting at my desk talking to a coworker about the NFL These two little twunts heard us talking about stuff, assumed it was GoT, because WTF else do people talk about on Monday's and asked if we watched. I don't, so I kept my mouth shut. My buddy told them he does but that I had read the books. One them sneers at me, wipes away the gravy from her chin and in this nasally voice, "Oh aren't you special, reading a book so you can be better than everyone else for watching the show." I shit you not, I work at a University and this ham planet said this to me. So I laughed, and asked are you at the part where the Mountain bashes Oberyns brains out or pops his eyes? Did Tyrion kill his father or Shea yet after escaping, and finding them in bed together? Has Cold-hands popped up yet? etc.. Basically tossing random shit out there, but also spoiling the rest of this season for the gravy covered sow. She squealed in horror, or hunger, I dont' honestly know and walked away. I got a high five from my buddy, who has also read the books.
  5. How was the first one? I never got around to picking it up, but I was always curious about the campaign
  6. oh man, that last one, WOW Also, I moved back to the west side of the map, where the starting safe house is and just started doing all the missions around there. I got a sweet assed safe house in a shipping container. that thing is just amazing looking
  7. if you help people, they will help you is the basic premise I know for a fact though that if you have bad rep they will call the police as soon as they see you, because that was put in one of the early game things. But I don't know specifically what they will do to help you
  8. Yea, it was the CTOS plant that had me questioning the stealth mode in this game It was also the one where I was spotted through a van and a brick wall. Another thing. PAD YOUR REP!!!!! Do a bunch of Vigilante crap before driving LOL, hitting and killing folks is a big hit to your rep
  9. Nutshell: Because they are basically creating Vanilla WoW only with larger zones. Because 40 man raids didn't work Because Combat sucks, you can't have an "action" combat game in a locked 3rd person perspective Because levelling takes forever. In Beta, it was a full weekend to get to level 10 Because the zones are not at all balanced, you either have huge populations of monsters that you have to fight passed that all end up being higher level than the monsters they are surrounding that you need to farm and that are level appropriate. OR you end up with 1 mob that you need, that is camped by a billion other people, and its not a named mob, its just some asshat you need to kill to get his liver. (THis happens ALL the fuck over) Because the world never once feels like a world, it feels like some weird "level". Because the UI blows Because the AI blows and never stops chasing you until you die Because the lore is boring and uninspired Because the races are boring and uninspired Because the classes are boring and uninspired It is literally every other mmo out there, there is NOTHING That stands out, its boring, and been done. I would rather play WOW again
  10. Couple of things I noticed so far today. Racing: Fuck that, not worth the headache with how driving is Stealthing: Pure 100% stealth missions are hard as shit, the few times I attempted it, I was always found. Not sure the deal to be honest, and I know its purely "me" thats having this disconnect, but like I find it easier to run and gun so far. Which is the exact opposite point of the game. Guards do randomly spot me which is annoying. I had one spot me through a brick building and a van
  11. Levar Burton (AKA Geordi Laforge from Star Trek: TNG) recently did a kick starter to get this show brought back. He asked for $1,000,000.00 to be pledged over the next 35 days, so that he could bring the show back and help kids learn to read. He made the 1 Million, in just shy of the initial 24 hours of the kickstarter being up. This is where he stands now 59,555 backers $2,638,430 pledged of $1,000,000 goal 33 days to go This is one of the coolest things I have heard about recently. Here is a link to it if you want to check it out https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/readingrainbow/bring-reading-rainbow-back-for-every-child-everywh
  12. I played for about 6 hours last night. I did one story mission the whole time. Other than that I was testing to see how far out I could hack camera's to get away from my self (NOTE: Its not very far, maybe 200-300 meters) I was looting ATM accounts so much that I actually started to feel bad about doing it Also, NEVER randomly explode things on pedestrians, you take a decent hit to your rep Also, I confirmed that you do NOT have to save the victim of the crime, only to beat the crap out of the attacker to get the rep and XP bonus
  13. Random Thought: So in games like this, typically the player goes big, gets the flashiest car there is and gets all nutso with it What if the Dev's took this into consideration? What if they are forcing us to choose cars that in real life people would ignore, by giving them better handling? This would be a really creative way to force the "anonymous" nature of the game onto the player. Everyone notices Lambo's and Porsche's, but how many notice a damn Hyundai Elantra?
  14. Its almost like this game is in backwards land, where the motorcycles and crappy scooters have better handling than everything else. I can't wait to unlock the Garbage truck. I have a feeling that that is going to be an OP beast mode vehicle
  15. If what I was reading on Reddit was true at all, just jump in the water. Skip the boat. Wait about 2-3 minutes and they lose sight of you, even if you don't swim anywhere. Once the stars go away, you walk back up on land. This is sort of what happened to me last night, but I was under a bridge
  16. newp beta sucked Zones were huge for no reason, classes had zero variation, blah blah blah there is way to much cock sucking happening on this one, much like the Elder Scrolls MMO.
  17. Got to play for a few hours last night I am up to Act 1 Mission 3, The mission after the Birthday party. I started doing side missions because what J4mes said will most likely be pretty accurate. IDK about the driving though. Its not "bad" but its not good. Some cars do handle differently, but the sports car that you get in the first mission fucking sucked to drive. It took me, no joke, 40 minutes or so, to get away from the cops. I ended up taking out fences, gates, pedestrians and pretty much everything. About 20 minutes in, I ditched to a blue minivan and was able to escape for the most part pretty quickly, but I had so many "stars" by then that the helicopters were tailing me. I finally ditched and went for a swim under a bridge, and then after waiting did the cops go away. Moral of the story: Swim if you want to get away from cops easily. Also, the first vigilante mission is hysterical, I ended up doing three of them, and even if the "victim" of the crime dies, but you still beat up the attacker, you win the mission. So stay in cover until the person is dead, then go up and beat the crap out of the bad guy. Its pretty obvious that they didn't' think this game through all the way, which I expected as Ubisoft likes to split their games between like 30 design houses
  18. Trimmed a double post from Doc.
  19. There was a time when my son would have loved this. Honestly though, with it being something more for a child, that will phase out of liking all of these things, I would only pay 50$ at most for it, and even then, it would be a stretch
  20. oh man, thats a bold statement. I loved SR3, the driving was nuts, but I expected that. If This is actually worse, than I sort of regret buying it (and I haven't even played it yet)
  21. I didn't mind the towers in FC3 for the first island, after that though,I hated every instance of doing them. Its like 1 tower is normal, and the next is so jacked up and rusty that no sane person would ever think of climbing it as any stray, moderately strong, wind would knock it the fuck over. When dev's code shit like that to make it hard for no other reason than they feel the game should be progressively harder, I get mad This is starting to sound more like an Ass Creed game than something new. (I also hated the towers in Ass Creed)
  22. So how much of this game is actual driving? cause gotdammit son, I am not going to be happy if the driving is shit, and I have to do it for 50+% of the game
  23. Hey Doc, what are your thoughts on the Death Penalty? I know this will derail, so if we made a different thread, I would love to hear your thoughts. Or hell PM me
