  1. They sort of pseudo imply it with Ragnar's use of the Sunstone, but what he was actually doing, historically, was using it to Navigate the open waters, and go straight across instead of down the coast, and then across the channel.
  2. Wait a minute..... thats news? I mean sure, they are right, but there are like a billion threads on reddit about that as well as the Bungie forums
  3. Dave has talked me into it folks. I am starting work on a new Server tonight when I get home. This will be a hand painted world, created by me.
  4. I fucking hate the SJW's at Kotaku, anyone have an archive link or can sum up the article?
  5. No, the Vikings had been raiding, what is now England and scotland, since around 700 ad. Ragnall (Ragnar in the series) just did it better, from further away, and actually attempted to control the areas, instead of raiding and leaving. The vikings started hitting France from the Coast around 800 ad or so. He did it better without following the coast the whole way, which was what they typically did. They most definitely knew it was there, they just picked a better route which saved time. (And what he is created with) Personally I can't wait for Lagertha to break out on her own, because historically, she is a pimp. Not to mention Ragnalls sons are fucking badasses, and when Ragnall is executed, they lay waste to pretty much everything they come across in England. Danishnet.com has some amazing articles about all of the historical figures. EDIT: I skipped past your point about the Jarl haraldsson, and you are absolutely correct. Personally I hated how they portrayed his willingness to kill the Blacksmith. That shit would have NEVER happened. Smiths were a protected class for the most part because their skill was so heavily relied upon.
  6. This quote from that AMA is perfect:
  7. And that is why I am backing away from CoD titles.
  8. I can't remember if we have a thread on this or not, but I wanted to post this up quick before I forget. 9. Oh wow Officially no more reason to stay subscribed to Hulu now LOL
  10. GOTDAMN son! I have 9 LOLZ
  11. Lets add a third group in this: Mods vs UK vs USA (Mainly as I enjoy grouping with Diddums (AKA LEROY JENKINS!)

    Shaders

ThunderDevil for the win! And yea, they could do this, pretty easily actually. All the weight is on the client end, the server just has to be able to store and send the GUID for the Color. Also, I wish Weapons were able to be shaded
  13. Saw that, the comments about a nerf gun that can be fired in the Tower would be awesome
  14. Yea, shotguns should be an AOE style weapon.
  15. Shotguns: This guys post on reddit is 100% accurate:
  16. Both these guys get it. Maybe its because I have been playing MMO's for about 15 years now, but yea, so far this guys has been doing a bang up job in regards to every other MMO company out there. If the game was better, we would care less about finding someone to bitch at
  17. I also have dailies and weeklies if you guys need a 3rd
  18. No idea if this will post right, but here http://xboxclips.com/Many+Religion/76afc438-09a8-4479-8c41-65dc75ef2426 From Reddit: I was in the tower and saw someone named "BungieHelp02" and they had 39 and 42 light armor and 365 attack weapons. http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2uy9e6/saw_something_strange_in_the_tower_the_other_day/
  19. ^^^^^ Oh hell! That aint right! (Dave really needs to hurry up and send me a new keyboard goddamnit! I just got coffee everywhere)
  20. I might pick up another Exotic Shard, but I don't know. I just realized last night that my Patience and Time isn't on the TDB damage scale, do you guys know if that was ever updated?
  21. I am just starting to watch Season 2. The only inaccuracies I saw in Season 1 were the names of the secondary characters, the inclusion of the monk slave, and the treatment of the blacksmith by the Jarl. Other than that, season 1 is pretty spot on for the history of Ragnar Lothbrok.
  22. The pulse rifle change isn't compelling at all. The AR change is sort of, but I expect they will err on the side of caution which means a nerf. Honestly what they need to do here is make AR's, Scout, and Pulse Rifles all the same "weapon" class, and all fire selection to take place.
  23. The Vikings series was really worth watching I have to say. Its as historically accurate as they can make it, which is awesome. Seeing a Historical drama that actually uses the real existing records from that time frame is nice.
  24. Video is weird, but I love this song, and album. Partly because of this series:
