Well thats tough to answer to be honest. It is already built into every OS out there (Unless you are running windows 95 or 98, and they might have patched that, I don't honestly know). Some places have already implemented it. This article here covers it pretty well. http://venturebeat.com/2013/06/07/at-our-current-rate-of-progress-ipv6-will-be-fully-implemented-on-may-10-2048/ The URL is slightly off, it should read as 2148, not 2048, the article is sort of weird This paragraph sort of covers it: What this means is my home, with all the random devices on it, actually only uses 1 IP address. The whole article is worth reading though if you are interested.

Also, when IPV6 fullys rolls out to the world, all this will go away. We will have area codes, and even Country codes.

So IP addresses are like phone numbers. The problem is that there is a finite amount of them, and we don't have Area Codes fully implemented yet (IPV6 is Phone numbers with Area Codes). So ISP's lease IP Address ranges for a few months to a year. In order to better manage how many IP's the ISP's need, they have all modems set to release/ renew their connection on a one month basis (This is an approximation, some do it more frequently, some do it less. If you are a business, then it typically doens't change at all, depending on your contract, and what sort of Net presence you need) http://www.nro.net/statistics- this site keeps stats on when ip ranges move/ shuffle around. Typically this is due to ISP companies going out of business. Most ISP's are loathe to relinquish addresses once they have them. So lets do an example here This is my IP address right now: 198.167.32.134 Around Thanksgiving of this year, when my IP address did the release/ renew thing. It started showing that I was located in Canada. Pandora, Spotify, and Netflix all started acting weird on me as those services are different up there in the frozen north. I did some digging and there was an ISP up there that went out of business. My provider bought it and the DNS info for that IP address never updated fully, to show it was now down here in the states. It took about 2 weeks for the problem to resolve itself. DNS History shows this: IP Location Results for 198.167.32.134 ============== City: Summerside Zip Code: Region Code: PE Region Name: Prince Edward Island Country Code: CA Country Name: Canada Latitude: 46.4 Longitude: -63.7833 GMT Offset: DST Offset: Website with cool tools: http://viewdns.info/ Once everyone got the right DNS information for that IP address, then it got fixed. (For the record, this is why I tell people to use the 8.8.8.8/ 8.8.4.4 DNS addresses. Google is much better at updating their logs) I hope this makes sense. I need to get back to SQL for now though, and might expand upon this further later

This is because it shows your IP address as being from there. My home IP shows me as being from Queen Victoria Bay in Canada. If you do a Geo-Loc on an IP you should be able to get a history of everywhere that IP address has been used, its pretty funny when you start seeing your IP address popping in other countries. I can explain why if you really want to know.

If you go to buy your own Modem, there are several on the market currently that are amazing.

Thats actually pretty decent. Its not 100% indicative of not having a problem though. Pings come across port 80, port 80 is never blocked unless you want to just totally dick over the internet. When you talk to Tech support at Comcast, ask them to check the ports that Bungie mentions in their port forwarding guide. Hell, if you are lucky you will get someone that plays Destiny on the phone (This happened to me with WoW and CoD when I had issues with Mediacom) They will most likely blame the problem on your end, but regardless, they should send someone out to look at your lines, especially if you are in an Apartment. Tell them you want a new Modem, not router, most Comcast modems are Scientific Atlantic, or Motorola, models from 2002. They are seriously out of date. When I was in Chicago, I bought my own and was able to get better than advertised bandwidth at the time.

Call them and bitch Start keeping a speedtest log for every day. If you notice an issue, then run an immediate speedtest When they tell you that you have to hook up PC directly to the modem to get better speeds, tell them you want to talk to someone in teir 2 or 3 Make them send someone out as you are not getting what you paid for. Mention that you are keeping a daily log to see what your speeds are. Basically just be a dick to them. They want your money but could give a fuck about your service.

Who is your ISP? I ask as I am noticing a trend in Banjo Error posts. All are either Comcast or subsidiaries of Comcast around the Great Lakes region (Michigan, Illinois, Indiana) In your network config for both your router and PS4, set your DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. These are the Google DNS servers, they update roughly every hour, I noticed a large majority of my problems in all gaming ceased when I did this. Port Forwarding can help in large IP traffic networks. I have port forwarding set up in my house; but I also have 15+ devices on the network. This is not counting Kindles or phones or other devices that get off/ on the network at random times. Most residential problems that are "solved" by port forwarding are actual problems caused by the ISP trying to traffic shape areas to relieve problems of slow networks. What is your upload/download and ping rate during the times you are having issues? http://www.speedtest.net/to find out

IPv# = IP Address, the v stands for version. No one uses IPv6 yet, so focus on IPv4 Default gateway is not an IP address, it is a gateway, think of it being your driveway to get onto the highway Submask is not an IP Address, if you lived in an apartment, then it would be your apartment number.

yea, so stop what you are doing. Reset everything back to normal and then tell me what happens. (I literally mean reset everything. Hold your reset buttons, or power buttons or whatever in and start over at square one)

Why are you port forwarding? I doubt you have enough devices to warrant it. I know you aren't running a server.

You listed a MAC address, not an IP address If you are seeing a MAC address as your IP address, then something got fucked. I can't think of any way at all that a system would list a MAC address as an IP address. Mac Addresses are basically social security numbers; IP addresses are basically housing addresses. One can be used to filter the other, but not vice versa. Regardless, you need to provide more information What router? What firmware? What settings did you use to set it up?
  21. No, I've attempted to jump in groups before and its only worked out 4-5 times over the last few months, for various reasons.
  22. I found a couple of people on Reddit. Got a new purple lmg
  23. Does VoG have a chest in the front like CE? just curious
  24. I'd settle for just one game, with all the old maps. Don't even need a campaign. Just give me a huge assortment of weapons like BF4, and then add all the old maps in. basically just make BF4 with CoD maps
  25. either, Not sure when you go to lunch
