Just to add a few tips:

-Shooting the bottom of a ship is a necessity as if you don't hit it below the water it won't sink it will just have lots of holes in it but it is a viable tactic to put holes higher up so once it starts sinking it goes fast.

-When using a sword hold rt to do a lunge attack that does alot of damage and stuns.

-The music give you clues, if you hear a menacing string assortment while swimming you are probably near a shark.

- Your ship is expendable treasure is not, if you get into a ship fight at an outpost while trying to take treasure to a vendor sometimes it's worth letting your ship be the decoy and take the treasure while letting your ship sink, as long as there is not more treasure on your ship. Your ship respawns so as long as you get the treasure in you can get to your new shiney ship by using a mermaid.

Think for me playing with other people has become a big draw for me now. I also like a goal like get good enough to kill this massive boss or progression for characters you play as for games.

I have an xbox one x and have had none of these problems and I got pubg when it came out midnight 12th December there is also a fix by turning off game capture for on xbox settings on xbox one s or xbox one. It has it's problems and 30fps is not acceptable but I friging love it hit me up if anyone wants to play on xbox one

With regards to Cayde, lore from the first game and the TTK Collectors edition book  (with annotations 'by' Cayde), seem to point at him contracting for Clovis Bray. After an incident that left a research/space station damaged, he essentially paid off his debts by going to do a job for Clovis Bray. Possibly giving himself up to science.
