  1. Nadeshot in a stream yesterday was disappointed that he couldn't buy supply drops in the beta... ... ... ugh. So yeah, you are probably right. I don't even mind Microtransactions ... as long as I can say "I am spending X, to get Y." None of this gambling BS.
  2. If it happens again, and you have your phone on you or whatever... snap a photo of the BSOD. They will have an error code (typically) and sometimes those can be helpful.
  3. So... I am not exactly sure how to fix your problem. So, that sucks. However, it looks like others have had this issue https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/1f677dd3-bdb7-4650-9164-d8e2c66b7708/task-scheduler-error?forum=w7itprogeneral That is crap you don't want to get into. (other solutions were worse... hah) --So based on what I am reading both from you and from the solutions: on boot up the task scheduler (which controls all the crap and order things start in) is having issues with something ... most likely a graphics driver load or something given where/when it is dying on you... but if you wait long enough the scheduler 'gets around' to it and boots the driver. Some other guys may know more, or have cleaner easier solutions (I am not being much help). It would be easier if you had a friend locally that would take a look at it for a drink and some quality social time... lol or... if it ONLY happens within 5 minutes of booting... the lazy man says a) never reboot lol or 2) when you boot up ... go grab a drink or something So it it is 'done' when you get back.
  4. Windows 7: Start > (in Search bar) type 'Event Viewer'. You will see the event viewer icon/program. Open that up. Windows 10: In the search box NEXT to the start button type "Event Viewer". Select Event Viewer and open it. Nah, you can look at Event Viewer anytime. It keeps a log of a few days or so. Just depends.
  5. BSOD are typically hardware related. I wonder if Facebook is using some sort of Flash or something your graphics card is flipping out over. You can open up the event viewer and see what type of errors it is reporting (if anything) In the search box just type Event Viewer and open that up. Left pane will show some drop downs, choose Windows Logs, then System Logs. In the center top pane, scan down through the reports to about the time it last happened and look for Red icon errors. See what they have to say. I am thinking that if it is something to do with Facebook it might be a slow driver boot for your GFX card. Something that isn't initialized immediately upon boot up... but is after a bit (given your description). That seems odd... but... #Computers. hah
  6. Thanks.
  7. Yeah... it's hard enough for me to buy a game outside of Steam. hah, but it is ridiculous in my opinion that they would try to get into this market. Steam is by far the best, but, granted, they have been in the game the longest. Windows 10 / X1 streaming is quality though. They should just really push that. From the XBOX app on my computer I can turn on and manage my X1. Then if I want to play a game, just boot it up and it streams to my computer monitor. I can either run it full screen or "in app". I haven't play MP, but in all the single player games, the picture was great and the latency wasn't noticeable. All X1 controllers are compatible with Windows so not an issue there, or if you are set up like me the controller can still reach the X1 so I don't even switch my controllers over to the PC. ...not that I have a shortage of controllers... *facepalm*
  8. Is these the tanks you built all those years ago? I remember some updates on the old forum as you were putting them together... That room looks fantastic.
  9. Yeah, this takes place right BEFORE Episode 4. When Vader is hunting the Death Star plans at the beginning of Episode 4... its THESE plans.
  10. I really think (and hope) that all our main rebels in the new Rogue One movie should die. 1. Would give the movie extreme weight, not found in any of the other movies. 2. Makes continuity make sense. One of the main issues doing prequels is that continuity is always difficult. To me, you have these crazy effective operatives... yet make no appearance on the assault of the Death Star? Where were they on the Hoth base? Why weren't these people picked to attack the base on the forest moon of Endor? But if they die... it wraps it up nicely. We obviously have force sensitive individuals in this movie, if not outright Jedi. Why wouldn't Luke seek them out... why would Obi Wan and Yoda gather ALL the remaining Jedi? Because the ones they (the rebels as well) know about are dead or scattered. 3. With Star Wars: Rebels they have already nerfed the Empire enough. If you have watched that show, you know the Empire is basically a bunch of bumbling idiots who can't do anything right (at least as of Season 1, I admit I am a little behind). We need to see an Empire that can get stuff done. Earn the fear they have in the galaxy come Episode 4. Yeah, the plans get out...but the rebels need to be dead. Maybe one makes it out with the plans... the rest dead or captured. If we continue with this weak show for the Empire it totally invalidates any of the fear we felt through the original trilogy. (Also common misunderstanding is "Many bothans died to bring us this information" ... that was from Return of the Jedi regarding the SECOND Death Star.)
  11. Battlefield 1 TitanFall 2 Skyrim Remastered... will be added to my library. But that is free... so not sure it counts as "shopping list" Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the WiiU...whenever that drops. ... I think that is it. I may pick up CoD:IW in April. If they do a stand alone MW4 may be a Christmas n00b on that one. For Honor looks cool, had an alpha code but was never able to get in. ..also looks like it could be really bad. hah.
  12. There is an actual game mode "Protect The Pigeon" ... basically CTF, but with Pigeons. You have to call for reinforcements so you have to carry the pigeon to the message vial or something and ...win? Haha they were talking about it on the Battlefield live stream a few days ago.
  13. Thanks.
  14. I love PC gaming because of it's versatility. Unfortunately the CoD style shooters don't really survive there. hah Both CoD and Titanfall just don't have the communities to keep the game going till the next one. So I basically play those games on my X1 and everything else on PC. I actually own a XIM3 so I can run Mouse and Keyboard on my xbox. haha.
  15. Nothing much has changed. Haha. They get about 2-3 games and then the servers die. Funny though... there were 10k viewers watching Nadeshot stare at a Menu. haha
  16. Sucks about Zake_Dizzle. Glad to see you are doing well in London. I have actually been to London four times this year for work. My company has a contract with the Metropolitan Police so I went out there a few times to work with them. I stay in the Trafalgar, which is nice because I was able to get out and walk around London and "see the sights". First time I went was right after the France terror attack so Buckingham Palace was guarded by a small army walking around SMGs. hah. Wife and I have always had a Playstation as a DVD player (PS2) or a Blue Ray player (PS3) so when the rumors dropped that a PS4 Slim/Pro was coming out, I was excited to buy one for the 4K player... but then... nope. I know Sony is convinced that 4K streaming is the future, and they may not be wrong, but I just hate messing with streaming when I am going after something with visual quality. haha. And I have great internet. So yeah... I have two XBOX Ones now. hah. I will probably pick up a PS4 in a year or two on a sale or something, just for some of the exclusives.
  17. You know... I am disappointed in myself over Siege. I bought a Razer Blade last ... November... and it came with a free game. Either Assassins Creed whatever (The England one) or R6S. Well... none of my friends were interested in R6S at the time and I didn't know what the PC community would be like given that it was only multiplayer and a pretty niche game. So I went with AC. Fast forward 10 months and a friend picked it up... so I bought the Starter Edition. Fantastic Game. Started AC and quickly quit because I got bored. haha. Its hard coming into R6S this late though. Not knowing the layout of the maps... gets me killed.
  18. I have a 7 and (almost) 4 year old. So I have had them for a while... haha. Hard to remember what I did with all the time before I had kids. When we were out in Ohio, the wife and kids flew back to the parents place for a month vacation. I seriously didn't know what to do with all the time I had after the first week. hah
  19. I was debating on picking up a Job in Hawaii. Ended up in Washington, back in my home town. Kids love being close the grandparents... and it provides me with free babysitting. hah Haha yeah, the creepy stuff is a little awkward, but you get over it... I think. hah.
  20. Ah... CoD. Well, as you may remember I played CoD on the PC. When the first DLC dropped for Ghosts a lot of the PC community (still pissed over the shenanigans IW pulled with the system stat locking) didn't buy the DLC. Fragmented the community really bad. So, I went out, bought an XBOX One and picked up Ghosts. Played on X1 for the rest of the year. Advanced Warfare came out... That game was fun... for ... a few months. Quit around May. The first CoD I ever stopped playing "early". Got into Heroes of the Storm (MOBA for n00bs, which... is what I am lol). Loved that and played that almost exclusively till Black Ops 3 came out. Made a mistake with that game... Treyarch always launches a solid PC title. And this round was no different. So myself and my friends we all bought the PC version. The PC Master Race apparently does not forgive and it does not forget... because come the first DLC... the community fragmented and died. And while I really liked BO3... I just couldn't justify staying with CoD at the cost of rebuying the game for X1. So... CoD... left my life for a time. Right now I am bouncing between Rainbow 6 Siege, Heroes of the Storm (back to that only recently), some TitanFall 1 (in preparation for the sequel soon) and Skyrim. Honestly... I think I am most excited for Battlefield 1. Was able to put in about 20 hours (lol) into the Beta, loved it. CoD will have to wait till April or something when hopefully they release a gold edition or whatever. That was a long answer. hah You know, I had my heart set on picking up a PS4 when rumors started dropping about the Slim. ... then they didn't include a 4KBD drive. So... a few weeks ago I picked up an X1S instead. Thanks. See above for what I am gaming currently... buying: Battlefield 1 on PC (just the normal version for now I think... just dropped 140 on my XBOX Elite Controller haha wife would kill me if I bought the 130 dollar version of Battlefield) TitanFall 2 on X1 I get Skyrim Remastered for free when that drops... So I may play that a bit. I am in the middle of a 'world' right now. So if the save game swaps, ill do it. If not... with the mods I run already, it looks great. Sooo... we will see. That's about it for new stuff. Thanks Tronic, and jysn, solid reference.
  21. Thanks. Life is going well. Busy as always. I figured I would wait till I got some approval to stay before I post a larger intro giving a life update. haha.
  22. Thanks, Drifter. BB, Life. Moved back out west when I grabbed myself a new job. Still same forensics style gig. Work from home, little bit of travel. Doing well.
  23. Hey, Now, I know we have some history. We haven't spoken in 3+ years now. However, I thought of you guys today randomly and thought I would hunt you down. Some Google searching later... here I am. I know our history is not the best. However, I am asking for a second chance here. I understand if the answer is a negative, no need to use the ban hammer, ill just bail. If the answer is in the positive, ill make a more in depth intro. -Auptyk
