  1. Sorry for the name faux pas Joe, thanks for all the advice above. I only have a ticket for race day unfortunately or fortunately dependent on how you look at it.  Should be a great atmosphere though seeing as Lewis is world champion and it being his home grand prix, really looking forwards to the whole experience :)

Aint a thing. Welcome and Fortunate. Getting up and to the track with little sleep for 3 days in a row feels like more of a job than a vacation. You'll have a blast!

  2. It depends on the channel. Also there are a lot of tricks being used like speeding up syndicated shows to make them shorter to add more commercials. Sounds to me like you're watching Discovery or something like that who goes to commercial 30 seconds after having gone to commercial. I can't watch things like that. Then they play the same 5 commercials and I want to break something.

  3. The franchise has already apologized for AVP now it’s doing the same for 3 and 4 by allowing an Aliens spin off? This demolishes 3 and that’s really sad. How many more times can they admit they are terrible at their job before they fix it?

I like the idea of continuing the franchise if it’s done right. It’s hard for me to explain what I mean by right though. On one hand, IMO, Hollywood is stuck in a take what has been proven to be most successful in the past and recreate it era instead of trying to create groundbreaking approaches. I think Alien should strive to be groundbreaking. On the other hand all the movies have had the same human vs human while humans vs alien(s) dynamic. So is this going to be more of the same or so different it’s unbearable? The director saying “It’s a Freudian nightmare. That element to me is what is so appealing. To try to put the audience on the edge of their seat, in a traditional ‘monster stalking you in a dark corridor’ way.” after dismissing 3-4 isn’t promising. You might want to forget but we remember 4 movies of that exact thing. Should you add a spin or try something slightly different maybe?

The biology/physiology of the Aliens is way more interesting to me than watching humans unravel under the stress of being hunted by them. The Dog Alien in 3 changed my life and the direction the franchise could take. It has only since been exploited once to make the Predator Alien. Lots of exciting untapped potential there. The similarities it makes me think of between JC’s The Thing and the parasitic Alien Xenomorph make my mind race. So this before 3 attempt will only have human aliens? Again! The movie needs to be real deal nerd science fiction and not some lowest common denominator corny one liner cheap tricks to get jumps date movie with science fiction elements. I don’t even want to think about it anymore.

  4. Thanks for the belated birthday wishes Joe, I got got bought tickets for this years F1 GP at Silverstone this summer, up there as one of the best gifts I've ever been given. Copse Corner here I come!! :P

Fixed it! and AWESOME! I'm very happy for you; wishing you excellent weather all weekend. I do hate the new track configuration but sitting at the old turn 1 will be incredible. Guaranteed to see at least Crashtor have an off there at speed :D

    Please do:

    · Take pics (it will be hard to follow them going over 280 kph/174 mph at Copse but for every 50 pics you take one will come out ok)

    · Try and get on BBC and/or SkyF1! They always visit the campers. If you're there for the full Thursday-Sunday experience you're bound to run into them.

    · Hop the barrier and walk the track after the race before you leave! The podium is at Club (18). Might be worth the walk.

For Fri-Sat Practice and Qualifying are you allowed to roam around and sit wherever you want at Silverstone? The race I went to you could every day but Sunday so we got to sit in pretty much every grand stand and experience most of the track from general admission spots to big money seats. It might be different there?

  5. Question for the Batman experts, is his cringeworthy dialogue an essential part of the comic book character? Arkham City had some real groaners in it. Like, almost physically painful dialogue.

I didn't get that. I thought the voice acting was well done. What are some examples? Maybe Catwoman's dialog? Cuz Bats, Cobblepot, and Jedi Joker are pretty great.

So on the trailer I noticed a code while stealing screen caps from the video. Left side:

    1002640_10153083088238890_46667127665483

Just read that there are actually 3 in the trailer and someone figured it out.

    The codes translate into questions:

    • Harley Quinn - "Her first line"
    • Poison Ivy - "Asylum sanctuary"
    • Scarecrow - "I will unleash"

    Which have answers:

    • Harley Quinn - "Yeah, right"
    • Poison Ivy - "Botanical gardens"
    • Scarecrow - "Your greatest fears"

And inputting those answers as codes at the Batman: Arkham Knight Website’s persons of interest page unlocks profiles for the associated character.

    Pretty cool!

  6. Getting back to the Lasagna... I made one a few weeks ago for the first time using Béchamel sauce. It's like a regular lasagna with a stick of butter and milk in it. It was really good.

Also if you can find these try um. To me they taste like cinnamon toast crunch with a smoky bacon aftertaste. So practically crack in a bag.

  7. I’ve only seen the first episode which was interesting, I really do like Saul as a character, but it totally shares the same slow pace with BrBa I was hoping it wouldn’t. Riding in this morning listening to the radio some hump was saying how he loved E02 when there was like 10 minutes of absolutely nothing happening. That he enjoyed the camera movements etc… O boy! :(

  8. There's an awesome Humble Bundle on right now:

    Star Wars KOTOR

    Star Wars Jedi Knight Academy

    Star Wars Dark Forces

Pay more than average of $11.48 for:

    Star Wars Battlefront 2

Star Wars KOTOR 2: The Sith Lords

    Star Wars: Republic Commando

    Pay more than $12 for:

    Star Wars: Empire at War

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Ultimate Sith Addition

Star Wars: The Force Unleased 2

Hells yeah! Waiting for tomorrow to see what other games I get. I've wanted the Steam Star Wars Collection - 2014 since it was on sale for $29.99 but now that it's $99.99 I'm not interested. Another thing almost all of those games don't have any achievements. Not that its a must but I enjoy achievement hunting. This bundle has all of the SWC-2014 games less: Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, Star Wars Starfighter, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II and Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.

It would be cool if they add some from that list to make it almost the Steam deal. Well worth $12.
