    007 First Light

I know its easy to hammer this, but in a weird way it reminds me of when you feel you don't want to watch a really thought provoking movie, so you just find the best simplistic action movie from the 80s/90s because you know what to expect. It feels comfortable and for those reasons, I actually look at and think I'd defo play this 🤣🤣 Just like Mafia games, a simple level design with basic combat. Lets hope its an easy Platinum @slamminbones👀 That being said, I wouldn't pay AAA prices at all. Pretty sure 1-2 months afterwards, the game will be on sale around £40.

  2. Anyone got this yet? Was released at very short notice after 7 years of development the other day and costs less £16/$20. It had 3m wishlists on Steam alone and actually crashed every store front when it launched. Just shy of 600,000 players on Steam in the first few hours. There's even other indie developers moaning about how popular and cheap it is plus how they didn't give enough notice to other studios about the launch. Literally the same situation as when Baldurs Gate 3 angered other bitter devs about the success of their game. I'm actually playing the original right now and it seems a really unique game. Surprised I didn't pick it up sooner. It's basically a Metroidvania Dark Souls. If I keep at it then I'll definitely grab Silksong even at full price.

  5. Looks pretty good! A lot of Hitman DNA unsurprisingly but the levels look like they have some massive scale. Performance looks a bit rough but at least it’s a legitimate gameplay presentation

  6. About time. He did do a fine job in terms of turning a struggling club into a regular European-qualifying side and the stadium, along with profitability has been very incredible, but his tenure has been riddled with too much caution, missed opportunities and failure to capitalise. It's a different era of football now and Spurs need to take that next step with the foundations being laid.

  9. Haven't you played their Hitman games before Phil? You can literally be a master stealth assassin by distracting elite military guards by throwing coins🤣

  10. Nah, I call it First Shite. How the hell does he get into that venue with no-one seeing him? Is everyone selectively blind and stupid because he's Bond? Ludicrous 🤣

  13. They look like ass, so much ass that even the manager can barely stand to look at them 😂 I did think they’d do better, 1-0 loss to arsenal wasn’t dsmning, but holy fuck have they just kicked themselves in the face since. Unless someone puts on teir big boy pants and start putting in some effort soon I predict another lower half finish for them which is wild as about 2 weeks ago I would have said they’d probably be challenging for top 6.

  14. If Liverpool don't win the league, its a travesty, even without getting Guehi now - looks like they'll get him in January anyway. Championship is completely all over the shop as always, good to not look at any tables so far. Was a very interesting day seeing lots of players move around the top 2 leagues. Still think Madueke is an absolute steal from Chelsea to Arsenal. In a boring game, he was the only shining light that nearly helped Arsenal edge Liverpool. I'm sue when Eze gets up to speed they'll be up there no doubt. Man Utd will be top half now for sure. Mbeumo and Cunha look fantastic for them, but they seem to be a team that has to score lots more goals because they always look like conceding 2-3 goals every game.

    OG Football Manager

The first football manager video game came out in the early 80s on ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64 and was recently re-made for mobile.... and completely under my radar was also released on Steam last month. I played it when I was 10 years old 😍 It costs £4.99 and I've bought it to play on SteamDeck. Expecting nostalgia to take over when I try it out in a bit. I loved the original, so let's see if I can take York City back to the 1st Division 🫠

  20. The Guehi deal looking like it may be off, which is interesting. The only place LFC look even slightly vulnerable is at the back. I'm surprised no-one else went in for him as I was hearing they were getting him for 35m.

  21. Well, Liverpool have pretty much won the title now 😂 Already beaten Arsenal and they finally got Isak and look like they’re getting Guehi. That’s one hell of a transfer window…

  24. It's going to be a very interesting season and I think Arsenal's depth could be key for them but it'll be interesting to see where Liverpool are at with some big departures and incomings. Chelsea aren't quite there yet but they should be better placed to compete for top 4 and Man City will be up there but I can't see them winning it or even getting near the top 3. At the other end, I think West Ham are going to have a very challenging season but for the first time in a very long time, I think the promoted sides may be better placed to survive unlike previous years. Unbelievable pressure for Arteta to deliver this season though - over £1bn spent in his tenure and still only the FA Covid Cup to show for it and that was with Emery's squad. I don't even think the FA Cup and League Cup would be good enough to suffice - it has to be the League and/or the Champions League. Not many teams blow through that sort of rate and win less than Leicester. City were nailing the treble off the back of multiple titles and trophies in which Arteta played a huge part in that with Pep so the expectations will be insane but I think they are well-placed this year to do something.

  25. I totally agree, there's a lot of strong teams this season with a lot of cash being splashed on players, with probably more to come before the window closes next Monday. Arsenal and Liverpool probably fighting it out for top spot, with Chelsea, Man City, Newcastle, Spurs and Maybe Forest in the mix again for the rest of the top 6. I would have said Villa and Man Utd too but they both look a little off the pace so far. Thomas the Frank Engine has done a good job so far for Spurs, he's even getting the best out of Richarlison....and I think we'll do a little better than last years 17th place 🤪

  26. Spurs are actually looking class so far @phil bottle, gonna be an interesting season I hope if they can keep it up, city will be in the mix, chelsea probably will be as well and I don’t see any way liverpool or arsenal aren’t involved in the top 3. could be one hell of a tight title challenge this year

  28. The modded server still exists if you want to play on it 🙂 But I appreciate there's fun in the challenge of figuring out your own 🙂 I remember Voizdev on youtube having some good tutorials on starting and joining servers. They may be out a little out of date now but I'm sure they're still relevant. It's more connecting, joining etc. though rather than hardware. Hardware wise, Minecraft is pretty easy to run so just go with whatever the best hardware is that fit's your budget. Some general comments though, Minecraft is still terribly multithreaded so benefits massively from fast single cores over high core count CPU's. RAM, fast RAM is great but total pool of RAM is more important than speed and even for the heaviest of modpacks I don't think we ever went above 8Gb but we probably pushed that limit a few times. Storage, less of a consideration so really any SSD/NVME would do.
