I went out to eat with two other detectives yesterday, which I rarely do. (I typically go home for dinner). I finally asked if I should log on to Facebook and Tweet them to talk to them and then insinuated they were two teenage girls who couldn't wait to find out who asked who to the prom until they put their phones away.

By which I mean amusing things that happen in real life that are related to games rather than funny things that happen in games. I'd picked up Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando and loved it, so I went to Gamestop during a buy 2 get 1 sale to find the other three games in the series. Found them all so I went up to the counter to buy them. It was a slow day so there were two employees at the counter, a guy and a girl. The guy looks at the games I'm getting and says, "Looks like you're just missing Going Commando." The girl says, "Oh, I love Going Commando!" We both look at her trying not to laugh while she realizes what she just said and turns a nice shade of red

Last year my friend and I were arguing over Bioshock. He was basically saying that the game was shit, when he had never played it. He thought that the concept of a city underwater and a city in the sky was stupid and basically declared them as horrible games. The first Bioshock is probably my favorite game, so, naturally, I was kind of ticked because he was dissing the game, while never actually playing it. Then on the first day of the school year, while I was waiting for the bus to take me home, he came up to me and said,"Okay....Bioshock's pretty badass. I like it...."

It took me a bit to warm up to their singer's warbly voice, but I've always dug their music. They are local to Indy and play in Broad Ripple fairly often.

The Doors CCR Original Lynard Skynard Nirvana I'm like Jason though I've been to a lot of concerts and now can't be bothered by them. To many damn people. I saw Kiss and wanted to rip my ears off! The girl I was dating wanted to go see them so we did. Best concert ever went to was The Eagles. One hell of a show.

These guys played Ipswich Town Football Club to ~ 20,000 people in 2005 Edit: I've just remembered why I refuse to go to the big festivals (apart from the awful toilets) - it's all those twats at the front waving the flags so you can't see from further back! Coldplay at V Festival doesn't count as big as it was early days for that festival and the crowds, from memory, were about 40-50,000

Saw these guys in a much, much smaller venue - in a fire trap basement below The Hope and Anchor pub in Islington, London to a couple of hundred people "This is our first single which is out now"
