  1. So, after playing the BETA over the weekend, I can honestly say I had so much fun playing this. The starting section seemed to drag a bit and was almost turning me off the experience until I youtubed how to collect fucking wood 😂 Once you get your own bigger ship, that's when the fun starts. I can only imagine how fun playing with friends will be. An FG Friday with a bunch of us scallywags ruling the high seas could be glorious. Did anyone else play? Also, does anyone else think they're going to pay the hefty price tag for the console version?
  2. Sea of Thieves probably won of the best reveals at E3 if I'm honest with this amazing crossover they now have in game as of yesterday! When I first watched this, I literally couldn't believe they've managed to keep this quiet and release it so soon after the trailer! This is always the game that I want to get back into every time I see it, but its all about lining up a crew to be around. Its hilarious as hell, and more intense than you realise because of how the crew have to work together to even just get the ship to the right island. I've always struggled though with how to find the next steps to the quests or Tall Tales as they are called I believe. Any help is greatly appreciated because this has been well received and a permanent change to the game. Anyone else interested? Apparently you can now make an alliance between ships and crews so arguably you can have more than 4 people on working towards similar or the same loot/goals.
  3. Colombia treasure-laden San Jose galleon 'is found' The San Jose was sunk during heavy fighting with the British in 1708 off the coast of Cartagena The wreck of a Spanish boat laden with treasure that sank more than 300 years ago near the Colombian city of Cartagena has been found, President Juan Manuel Santos has announced. "Great news! We have found the San Jose galleon," the president tweeted. The San Jose has been described as the holy grail of shipwrecks, carrying one of the largest amounts of valuables ever to have been lost at sea. Ownership of its treasures has been the subject of a long-running legal row. The San Jose was carrying gold, silver, gems and jewellery collected in the South American colonies to be shipped to Spain's king to help finance his war of succession against the British when it was sunk in June 1708. The vessel was attacked by a British warship just outside Cartagena. The Colombian government's announcement on Friday that it had found the San Jose did not mention its long-running quarrel with US-based salvage company Sea Search Armada (SSA) over claims to the treasure - estimated to be worth between $4bn and $17bn (£2.6bn-£11bn; €3.7bn-€15.6bn). President Manuel Santo said that he would give more details about the find later on Saturday. A group now owned by SSA located the area in which the ship sank in 1981. SSA has been claiming billions of dollars for breach of contract from the Colombian government, but in 2011 an American court ruled that the galleon was the property of the Colombian state. The San Jose English Commodore Charles Wager tracked down the treasure-laden ship 25km (16 miles) off Cartagena and it sank in 300m (1,000ft) of water In the fighting the vessel was reported to have exploded, with most of its crew killed The wreck is reported to fall within the UN's definition of an underwater cultural heritage site It is estimated that the San Jose is one of more than 1,000 galleons and merchant ships that sank along Colombia's coral reefs during more than three centuries of colonial rule http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-35014600
