  1. Crucible Labs was shipped with yesterday's update and the first time we get to see it is today when it becomes available in a separate playlist. They said on Bungie yesterday: As noted in our most recent Roadmap, Crucible Labs shipped with Destiny Update 1.2.1. While the content has been downloaded and installed on your platform, the feature is not yet available. PvP Design Lead Derek Carroll has some information to set proper expectations for the feature, and what to expect when it becomes available: After this, it was queried on Twitter to see if this extends to Sandbox changes. Here's the answer: Josh Harnick added to this to explain it would be difficult to bring a different sandbox to a live environment. I'm pretty disappointed tbh. They released this info on the day it was available so that tells me they knew it wouldn't go down well. It will still be fun if we get to play some truly different game modes but I hope its not just a control game with slightly tweaked spawns or subtle score changes. I can now see why they called it Crucible Labs rather than Destiny PTR, so more fool me to assume it meant that (as too the thousands that thought the same).
  2. It's back again. 6v6. This time round it's going to be with a progression system similar to what we have had previously. So we rank up, and loot becomes available. I think this is avery good start to changes in reputation with vendors. The guns aren't much to shout home about tbh, nice reskins, but reskins nonetheless. The armour is a nice variant from previous seasons. I think the challenges for ornaments shouldn't be too hard this time round (no grenade and punch kill target). First week starts this Tuesday (22nd May) and you're likely to have IB 3 or 4 times this season so don't panic if you don't get what you want next week. Who's up for IB next week?
  3. I wouldn't say this Quest is difficult to figure out as you follow the quest steps until Ana gives you this but it is certainly a grind and along the way there are some challenging activities to do to get this done, mainly due to your Power level struggles along the way. Here's the Quest steps to get the Sleeper Simulant: Complete the main story in Warmind and subsequent missions Legacy Code and A Piece of the Past Receive the IKELOS Hand Cannon as quest reward, then visit Ana Bray and pick up the Violent Intel quest item Defeat Hive and Cabal with an IKELOS weapon equipped Defeat yellow bar enemies with an IKELOS weapon equipped Complete 5 Heroic Strikes with an IKELOS weapon equipped Complete 3 Escalation Protocol levels and find 15 Sleeper Nodes with an IKELOS weapon equipped Complete the 'Will of the Thousands' mission with an IKELOS weapon equipped It's now a 2 mag size rather than 3 due to how Power ammo works but it is something that fits clearly into Warmind and definitely will help against key bosses. I'm really enjoyong the grind for this. It is the closest quest we've had to D1 in terms of steps and I hope we get more of these going forward. The Sleeper Nodes are a brilliant way of one of the steps as lots of people enjoy hide and seek collectibles that also have a purpose.
  4. The update in May has been a significant Power update and brought in modifiers which are making them way more fun to run now but at the same time excrutiatingly painful when it gets to the bosses with the Power level set at 350. There is one big issue with them is the loot reward, which is acknowledged by Bungie and they are now looking into what changes they can make. Essentially it does not drop 'Powerful' Gear or at least gear that around your light level. It is capped at the soft cap at 340. This has to change as its more powerful to run than the rewards. However, away from this one point, heroics are needed for quest steps now as well as Milestone rewards so there are reasons to run them. They feel as intense as Nightfalls were without the hassle of any timer. It is really satisfying when you complete one, especially whilst your Power level sits around the 350 mark. There seems to be one elemental burn per week with modifiers changing daily. Last week was Solar Burn and yesterday I had Grounded on (damage to you is way higher whilst in the air) and it was a nightmare. Ended up not being able to complete a strike and I was 348. Your fireteam should really work together but its also great that it has matchmaking you can run solo in party of 3 too. Its making me think more about my loadout but also what type of elemental class I use as a Guardian. I switched to Sunbreaker last night and put the top tree perks on to try and get Melting Point on the boss to deal more damage. How are others finding them?
  5. Called 'Warmind', reveal stream is set for April 24th. The only thing said about it so far is that “It will send you to new places to meet new heroes and battle new enemies. You’ll earn new loot and master new activities.” What's made this one more way more interesting so far is there choice of words. They know they can't use the word 'new' if we're talking about seeing any of the current and Destiny 1 enemies. The only ones we haven't seen yet so far in D2 is SIVA but it shouldn't be just Dreg Splicers we see as it indicates new enemies. Its odds on to meet a person from the Bray family, as they invented Warminds. Just hope the story lives up to a £20/$20 DLC and it comes with a really grindy, progressional new activity.
  6. One collectible activity is the Data Fragments, of which there are 45 to collect or 'shoot' to be clear. They can be found in weird and wonderful places - I'll pop up a quick short video to show what they are as I can't find a pic online. EDIT Important note - You have to shoot them with the corresponding weapons: - White - Kinetic Weapons - Coloured - Energy Weapons - Red Haze - Valkyrie There are 2 main rewards from this hunt. One at 35 fragments and one at the full 45 fragments. At both stages there is a cache you have to find to open to get the rewards. At 35, you can obtain Destiny 2's first exotic sword, Worldline Zero. At 45, you obtain an Exotic Sparrow. Quite a cool treasure hunt that takes a while (not if you're ultimate hardcore, like Datto) and seem cool rewards to obtain. I really like how you have to shoot them rather hold square on them. Makes a nice change.

  8. Happy Warmind Day FG! Just thought I'd ask who's playing today? I plan to be on later to enjoy the story missions. Also may have a quick go on some Ranked Crucible if I get time. You should be able to pre-load the DLC now. It's around 7-8 GB so start it early if you want to play from live time (7pm UK / 11am PDT).
  9. Significant changes ahead in 2 ways. 1) How harder the enemies will be 2) How much your light level can increase when May update/DLC2 drops Enemies will now be going up to level 50, 10 levels higher than they do now. They are reintroducing harder enemies in certain sections which means we'll see the ?? Symbols if you are too level for them. The objective is to bring a higher challenge across the board. Exactly what it needs. The Power level you can go to will now be: 340 soft cap 380 hard cap Weekly milestones will be the way to go to bring up to 380. Also, moving from 370 to 380 will take just as long as 340 to 370 - trying to add the grind and achievement back into the game. Clan engrams will help (0-2 power level increase) but it will be more about your own efforts. The wider challenges you complete the greater the reward. All in all really good change. The top level (385 with mods) is a larger increase than expected. Higher rewards come from Raids and Trials but doing everything pays off too. The balance seems to be getting better with each update. How do you guys feel about this? We'll also have another raid lair available too.

  12. Crimson Days begins in Destiny 2 on Tuesday, February 13. At the heart of the weeklong event is a 2v2 Crucible playlist intended to get your blood pumping as you and a friend test your bonds to the breaking point. This celebration of teamwork will last one week! The combat scenario is 2v2 Clash with a round-based twist. We will also be debuting The Burnout, a new take on The Burning Shrine set in a future timeline where the Vex have succeeded in altering our reality. The sun is darkened and the only Light to be found comes from you and your partner fighting as one. Stay in close proximity to your partner and your abilities recharge at a faster rate. Stray too far, and your enemies will be given a waypoint leading to your location. If you can’t find a partner, don’t worry. We’ll play matchmaker and find one for you. The Rewards The best way to earn rewards during Crimson Days is to compete in the Crimson Days Crucible playlist, and we’ve tuned the experience to focus on rewarding single-character play. Most rewards are found within a new Crimson Engram, with all contents on a “knock-out” list, preventing you from receiving duplicate items until you’ve earned all of the new gear. No matter which activity you play in Destiny 2 during Crimson Days, every player will receive both an Illuminated Engram and a Crimson Engram when they level up. Crimson Engrams are only earnable through gameplay, and are not capped or limited during the event. To qualify, you need only to reach the level cap for your Guardian (that’s 25 if you’ve acquired Expansion 1; 20 if you haven’t). There are also five new rewards found exclusively for players who complete the following: Complete the milestone “Welcome to Crimson Days” by finishing five Crimson Days matches and visiting Lord Shaxx in the Tower to earn the Fire of the Crimson Days Emblem and the Tirastrella Ghost Shell. Complete matches in the Crimson Days Crucible playlist for a chance to earn the Undeterred Exotic Sparrow. Complete either the Leviathan Raid or the Raid Lair: Eater of Worlds to claim the Dieselpunk Exotic Ornament for Wardcliff Coil from the final chest. Complete the Nightfall Strike during the Crimson Days event to earn the Flaunting Dance Emote. Tirastrella Ghost Shell Undeterred Exotic Sparrow Dieselpunk Exotic Ornament Flaunting Dance Emote Crimson Engrams will only be earnable through gameplay, but if you’re looking to directly purchase a specific item, Tess will also offer a selection of the Crimson Engram contents in exchange for the Bright Dust you are holding. Gear purchased with Bright Dust will also count towards the “knock-out” list mechanic described above, preventing duplicate items unless you have already earned all the rewards. Every reward item obtained from a Crimson Engram can also be dismantled for Bright Dust, including event-specific shaders. Crimson Days will begin next Tuesday, February 13, and conclude on the weekly reset at 9 AM PST on Tuesday, February 20. If you’ve yet to find a dance partner, now is the time. We’ll see you in the arena.
  13. What would you do? I'm geniunely interested in what you guys think (yes, i know what we'd really like to do [emoji14]) as to if you were in charge how would fix things and move forward to try and save the franchise. They have a business need to hit targets still but for me, it was just a subtle change of priorities to which thing to deliver first. No doubt stuff takes a long time to develop, so to try and keep people at bay, adding strike modifiers and potentially strike loot if there was time would've kept the game grind going and make a key part of the game massively relevant. I'd have been happy to wait for other stuff then, even like Raid specific perks on armour.
  14. Here's the steps to get ridiculously amazing exotic shotgun. 1. Acquire the On the Comms quest and complete the requirements 2. Complete the Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid 3. Play through the End the Arms Dealer strike 4. Get the Legend of Acrius Exotic shotgun 5. Complete the Cabal Killer quest 6. Get enough tokens for His Highness's Seal quest Steps 1 - On the Comms quest just drops pretty easily whilst on Patrol too. Step 3 - is challenging and a fun objective to achieve. Essentially its the Arms Dealer Strike, 300 level difficulty with Prism and Anomalies modifiers active. Once youve done steps 4-6, this enables an extra round in the chamber for the gun. The gun drops after step 3.
  15. What's your favourite destination in Destiny 2 and why? Mine is Nessus. I enjoy visiting FailSafe (she is funnier than I initially thought) and the fact that some of the adventures of initially done around the Exodus Black make it a pretty interesting planet. Surprising too as I never really wanted to explore Venus with the Vex on Destiny 1.
  16. List of how to start the Heroic events thanks to @jSyn66
  17. Now starts the master planning. I want all thoughts and opinions to put under here. What we should, how we should get out there, etc. I'm happy to work on a plan with others so we shape up and get ready to hit the ground running with Destiny 2 and make ourselves open to be the clan we've always wanted to be. We do need to think about the post structure, just in case we get newbies here and they need support. We also need to think about what regular meet times and whether we have weekly or monthly focus points on subjects. We can utilise the calendar a huge amount more. I'm looking into calendar events that auto creates a thread in case people don't immediately see the event pop up. Let's know your expectations, if you have any, about gettng new people to come and say hi and join our clan? I think most on FG want to give this a bloody good shot so here's our chance to start hitting the ground running.
  18. Whilst I had all 3 last time, I only rocked the Titan tbh. This time round I want to try to maintain all 3 types, even though Titan Master Race FTW of course. So what will be your setup on D2? Will you have different Guardians so you have different mains on PvE and PvP?
  19. As there was a heightened demand from the community for Bungie to release reference material so people can get to work on creating their own Destiny 2 armor to show off at events, Bungie have created a portal for reference artwork. It will work similar to the Destiny 1 version and currently the gear shown looks so beautiful. The Warlock colours and armour for me looks the best.
  20. Through an interview in Kotaku and MoreConsole info, Bungie revealed some info on a new weekly event called Flashpoints. Flashpoints are supposed to be a bunch of different exploration experiences put together that you can go searching solo for these items. At the end of it will be an unknown reward equivalent to the Nightfall drops we see today. What got me excited about this is the ideas of treasure maps were mentioned. Love the idea of cryptic clues and maps helping you to explore the open world and find stuff. There was some stuff datamined on Destiny 1 about treasure maps but it was never used. Anyone else got any thoughts about this idea and where it could go?
  21. Destiny 2 Beta Dates have been confirmed and there will be a period of Open Beta so you DON'T have to pre-order if you want to try it out. Also the launch date is now 2 DAYS EARLIER - September 6th. Beta Dates July 18th - Playstation Beta July 19th - Xbox Beta July 21st - Open Beta for both Playstation and Xbox July 23rd - Beta Closes Late August - PC Beta Launch Dates September 6th - Playstation and Xbox October 24th - PC Hyped for long beta. Will post later what's available unless someone can grab the details?
  22. Thought i'd get a roll call going to understand who has pre-ordered and therefore playing the beta from 18th (4 days time) or who is waiting until the launch? If you don't pre-order you still get to play 2/3 days of the beta.
  23. Destiny 2 is an upcoming online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game in development by Bungie and to be published by Activision. It is set to be released on September 6, 2017 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This is 2 days earlier than originally planned.
