Horror games

With Halloween just around the corner I have been wanting to try some horror games to get into the spirit of Halloween any suggestions?

I've been playing DayZ again recently. It's not a horror game and the zombies have been temporarily removed.

 

However. It is still the only game that gets my nerves on end.

 

Other than that you could try out Alien Isolation, it's pretty atmospheric and creepy.

Dying Light was a great idea, but the movement in it was weird and started giving me headaches (I had the same problem in Halo Reach oddly enough)

 

Silent Hill is amazing, I wish I still owned them.

 

For me though, few things beat out the original Resident Evil on PS1.

Outlast and Alien Isolation are amazing and incredibly terrifying.

Zombie mode on Red Dead Redemption I always found pretty creepy when played on my surround sound system

You gotta get back and finish it Bart, it's a great game and has a pretty good ending. I wish they would make it for PS4 now because I'd love to play it again on the new console.

Another vote for Dead Space. It wasn't my cup of tea story wise and has a very predictable arc and level structure. Go hear, do that, push this thingy here to turn on the power, and open that door. But it was very creepy and well done.

I would second dead space and outlast. Outlast is a great game that isn't too long and provides a great deal of scares.
