I had about 189k and I lost 5 when I died . Maybe there is a cut off. Anyway I'm a poor ejit again I supped up a bike & SUV and bought my place xD

i've read that it's not necessarily a fixed amount that gets deducted for all players across the board -- rather, you lose a certain percentage of your money with each death, so people are always losing different amounts at different times.

odd.  as others have said as well, just before i bought my apartment and had a large bankroll the death penalties were around $5K.  maybe there's an income bracket system.
