Needs big updates to Pro Clubs. I just wish there was an alternative game that has that mode because it is the only thing holding me into the franchise still.

Very much doubt there will be. Hoping UFL gets a pro clubs game mode.

Yeah seconding this, pro clubs is the only reason I pick up fifa now, there aren't many games so many of us can get together and though it has it's issues it has led to some brilliant and comedic moments. It's very much our social game I feel. COD doesn't hit the same feel despite being able to have private lobbies, people get more of a hump with COD when it's going badly I feel.

 

That said because the player base isn't huge there is a risk that if someone brings out a similar mode on another game you split the player based and it could also harm things further?

 

What would you do differently with clubs? If you were given the chance to innovate it, how would you go about it? When you think about it they have made more changes in the last 2 years than ever before with the new league system, play offs and the volta store (even if that is half arsed). I think the main issues with clubs is fifa in that the whole game just need's a revamp, the gameplay is all over the shop at the moment.

Ironically, i've said before that they don't really need to do anything gameplay wise and thats where most of the work would be. Loads of people love is having different objectives and activities to complete. Even if you take it back a few years, they had cups to try and go for. Simple stuff like adding visual leagues, enhancements to logos, stadiums where you can add customisation. All of that won't change the gameplay, but its stuff you can work towards with friends. Hell, a penalty shootout mode for instance could be a good laugh too.

 

I do think they're trying to go that way because they are adding a 5v5 new mode which could be helpful, but for me still needs to be connected to Pro Clubs.

Honestly, my experience of FC25 thus far has been very bad. Rush is probably the only thing they added which I enjoy. The career mode has been ruined by the terrible player generations, disfigured monsters. Which coincides with most Pro Clubs players now as well.

I have to say that for me I feel similar @JM. Rush was ok to begin with however most games seem a bit too easy, if you come up against a squad then it's decent and can be quite a battle but if you come up against 4 randoms put together the result almost always goes the same way.

 

Clubs has been crap to be honest so far, it doesn't seem to flow very well and to be honest I think we also cause a lot of our own problems in that we all try to do to much and I think this fifa very much wants you to pass it around and play Pep ball moreso than any other version.

 

I will stick with clubs only because it's a numbers thing again, we don't have a game where so many of us get together at once and once we lose that it's probably gone for good, couple that with the way this site is and I don't really feel like FG has much at the moment sadly (oh excluding our D&D nights!)

We'll have to get some other game nights up on FG!

 

It probably doesn't help that we have been playing FIFA MNF nights for 5 years, without fail. I wouldn't want to lose it, but also I don't think it's wrong for a few of us to maybe play something else. As long as we're all in the party having fun, that's all that matters.

This is where I probably am given i've had a think about it. I think sometimes we can easily gloss over how amazing Monday Night Football has been such a mainstay here at FG for so long, every single week. I don't think its dead by any means but some juggling around for different nights to play FIFA may help - the only challenge is some people's plans and diaries may not suit this. I think on balance though we do need to find a nice alternative way to keep games like this fresh.

Easy to feel that and understandable. I'll continue to say though that if we want something to work we have to be relentlessly positive on it and keep pushing it out there.

Maybe so but every relationship takes effort on both sides 👍

 

Don't get me wrong Lee, I really think FG could be great but at the end of it all, it is a community but for a community to thrive people need to take part and there aren't many that do anymore. Those that did so as I first joined only did so because you were dragging them kicking and screaming and that's unfair on you as well 😄 

 

If people want FG to be here tomorrow so to speak they need to take part more and for me it's just getting frustrating. I have made some good friends here and hopefully will be friends for a good while yet but as with everything, things are made better when all are contributing 🙂
