IS there anyway for us to tag people in our posts and then we get notified that we were tagged, much like Facebook? Just wondering, since we lost the like button for now, I thought this might be a nice new wrinkle for us to try out. If it's a bad idea, I apologize. Sennex 2,180 Posted October 8, 2014 Share Posted October 8, 2014 facebook sucks thats all I have to say about this (Seriously though, this would be possible but could be a pain to accomplish as you would have to scan a text field in the DB and then see if it matches the DisplayName for any member, and then generate a notification. Its totally possible, and not particularly hard, but it is a pain in the ass, and would slow the site down. I just thought it might be a good idea since there's no like button any more and if someone mentions you in a post that you might not read, I thought it would be a way to draw someone into a conversation.
