This has been put for 2 years now and due to the success of this game they are releasing free DLC on this anniversary, which has 3 new areas to exlplore. In the game's daytime you build your base and decide how your stretched resources will be used; and at night you scavenge a dangerous, war-torn city for more. It's a game about civilians surviving a war, rather than soldiers fighting one, and is uniquely powerful and poignant because of it. The game's success changed 11 bit's fortunes. A PS4 and Xbox One version of This War of Mine was released at the beginning of the year, and there's even a This War of Mine board game for 2017. Will look to pick this up over the next few months as it's only 15/20 quid for a new copy.

Microsoft have put a little Spartan protecting the new model they have produced. Easter eggs usually come in software so this is the first I've seen on hardware before. Neat little addition.

PC role-playing game Torment: Tides of Numenera will also be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Torment publisher Techland confirmed the news to our friends at Eurogamer Poland today, along with word that all three versions will launch simultaneously in spring 2017. Trailer Torment's console port was greenlit after the success of Wasteland 2 on consoles, Brian Fargo, boss of developer inXile told EG Poland. "Wasteland 2: Director's Cut success and the gratitude expressed by a lot of fans after this release made us begin to plan the Torment: Tides of Numenera for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One," Fargo said. "We're especially excited to work with Techland, who - as a fellow developers - know exactly how to execute such a release without compromising the quality." Console versions of the game will get their public debut at Gamescom in Cologne, in just under two weeks. ---------------------------------- Any PC lovers played this before? I'm sceptic that it could be a hit on console as it doesn't look that inviting.

Having seen the graphics of this first hand at Eurogamer, I must admit that I was seriously impressed. If the gameplay and sound matches the graphics, then Turn 10 can genuinely be proud of themselves. Fora 5 will be Xbox One only. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r46D1lRpO1k I spent some considerable hours playing 3 and 4, but the game just lacked something for me. It felt too clinical, to clean, nothing seemed wrong. It was just... too perfect. Even looking at cars in their garages, the garage looked like it had just been the location of a mass murder and a crime scene crew had cleaned it up. At least with Gran Turismo the cars were in pits, paddocks, museums, etc etc. Whereas GT4 (not 5) felt like the kid in a Focus RS hooning around a track at full tilt, Forza felt like a physics buff measuring g-forces in every corner in his perfectly tuned Nissan GTR. I don't know if that coes across really well, but for me, racing needs to have a bit of grit. A bit of danger. A bit of people sideswiping each other to get ahead. Forza just didn't have that. I'm not sure if I'll be getting this one myself, but as I said, if the graphics were anything to go by, then Forzaists have a fantastic treat to look forward to.
