I'm trying to complete an assignment to get some LMG or other, which requires two mortar kills. I got one on the first shell I fired and have been unsuccessful getting another one, even on stationary targets. Is there something I'm missing or does it just take some blind luck?

Anyone else been having connection problems with Battlefield 3 recently? Recently I feel like I'm playing Black Ops 2 again, hitmarkers like crazy only to get insta-killed when the guy starts shooting. Then last night I lost track of how many matches I lost connection to after playing for a couple of minutes. I'm wondering if it's a problem on my end or if the servers have been having issues. The weirdest part is that I just started using a wired connection again (normally I have to use wi-fi). That should make it better, not worse, shouldn't it?

I played a bit of this on the PS3 a while back, never really got into it because all the twats I play with were all on COD. Now on PC, I've been playing a bit with Levi and Squiggs, and it's fantastic fun. There are still pepole that play like little bitches with their SMAWs and camping, but at least it's good fun enough to tie me over to BF4. Having said that, last time I spent some proper hours playing an FPS on PC was UT2004, that's about 6 years ago. It's going to take some getting used to the mouse and keyboard again, playing anything other than an FPS I can do reasonable well, but my reaction time sare still a bit on the low side and I always over or undershoot when aiming. Practice makes perfect I suppose, and this is excellent training for the next bunch of games. Great fun.

So every few games BF3 sticks on the map loading screen trying to get into a match. It's not frozen, because the help tips keep scrolling and the word "Loading" flashes. I have to quit the game to fix it, which typically causes my PS3 to reset itself. Anyone else have this issue? Anything I can do about it? It's extremely annoying as sometimes I have to restart after every match, and sometimes I can't even get into a match at all. The only other game I've played recently is Mass Effect 2 which hasn't given me any problems, so I don't think its my system (hopefully).
