Afternoon! As you all haven't probably seen it (and clearly need a nice firm nudge with a rod), we said we'd try a tournament out between us all. Nothing major, just a 2v2 gunfight one. I've made it in the tournament section found here. Can i have a roll call below please who would be interested as I can help make teams up if we're struggling to understand how to make a team (it is really easy btw on the tournaments section). Eventually when we have enough we can arrange when you can jump on for the games. Shouldn't need longer than 30 minutes I would reckon, more like 10-20 minutes. Lets hear your names then!

Rich @tronic44 has made himself available for an awesome FG montage so we need clips from you all. I want to try and push and get at least just one clip from you all. Doesn't matter whatever game it is, the more variety, the better. We need them in by end of this month - 31st May, to give Rich time to put them together. Google drive will be available if you can but equally a small youtube clip can be worked with too. Come on all, I know this is within reach - even if justs one little clip! Let's see them! So I've been thinking about this for a while now. We need to come out and ask all of you which do you prefer. This is something that I want to try and make happen because its difficult when a lot of us are splintered across different channels so by doing this will mean we will ask every single FGer to join whichever the appropriate chat service. To be very very clear with this - The Website is still the central hub for all FG things. The chat service we have is complimentary to the website, not a replacement. Being part of FG means we all have a duty to come and check everyones stuff out here, not just the forum elements. I always said i'd keep this going because it is our family place and we all need that, but I will have to tailor where my effort goes if we don't start supporting this place moving forward. I'll put the obvious pros and cons from my view on each option below if you don't understand what they are. WhatsApp The main service thats commonly used today through a lot of FGers. Likely most people already use this Everyone that uses must share their phone number and be happy that FGers can see it. Not many want to share their number Its quick, easy to use We will only have one chat, not a plethora of groups we can't keep up with It has a Desktop version as well as App based To find something would prove difficult - there is no intergration with the website so all notifications for videos, quizzes, events, etc will have to be manually shared Discord Has the ability to have multiple group chats within the FG Discord - like a destiny lfg, overwatch lfg, etc The FG Discord is not commonly used by many FGers currently You don't have to share your mobile phone number - you create a unique login that people can be tagged Its different to WhatsApp - so may take a few people to understand how different it is We can link your posts, videos, quizzes, etc to automatically notify you in FG Discord Its another app to download. People over time may not check it Chatbox Keeps it within the website where most of our stuff is for everyone It means you have to be on the website to utilise so not has responsive as other chats It links to everyones profiles on FG so people know who is who Notifications don't comne through instant as its on a web browser - we are still working on https This also doesn't mean we are ditching the ones that don't win, it is more so I can feel comfortable that we have at least one place where every single FGer is so we can contact everyone for group up games and info we wanna get out there ASAP.

I'll be going off in a few days for my summer holiday with the family so radio silence from me will commence on Tuesday for a week. I'm expecting to feel rejuvenated with more annoying PMA to get your arses engaged for an awesome few months coming up. Some big games that us as a community can get behind but also tons of stuff I want us all to be involved in and have a laugh with - as thats what its all about innit? Many people don't realise FG is more than just a forum and we have tons of stuff covered here which we want to make more use of. Its all down to us and thats what we'll be committing too. I think the best way to show all the stuff we do is by the infographic below - I wonder how many people realise we do all of this....: It's clear to see we have so much stuff to do as a group and a family of awesome people. We just need to make it all more accessible and get thing smoving again. So, with that said, whilst i'm away i'd like some input from all of you, newbies or veterans, to give us your say on the following areas. We now have full Steam Profile integration through FG. Its a really powerful tool so I suggest you should link your Steam account via your Profile in the menu. Would love to bring more like this from other platforms but isn't saomething readily available but we will keep looking out for this information and update you all when we can get more integrations and cool support links. You can see what games you own and others so you can see if theres a game you share to get a group up session going. Also shows your steam profile scores and badges GO AND LINK YOUR STEAM ACCOUNTS NOW On your Profile it looks like this: Once clicked you'll see all your owned games. I believe you see latest badges earned (if I actually earned any!) When you're browsing and posting it looks like this: And when you hover someones profile: Hope its a welcome addition to this place for people who use Steam here. Any questions, just shout up.

I was aimlessly looking into my screen for multiple nights here, thinking my life isn't in the most 'ideal' position. And then I looked at 2 things: 1) all the messages i've been recently being talking with and 2) my very first Private Message on here. Firstly, I really enjoy keeping in touch with you all, either on here or whatever way we possibly can. I think when things are difficult or different in your life its always good to keep perspective. Yeah, I'd love to give more to my family but actually i'm in a really good spot and i should be more grateful. I think lots of people don't realise how much other people, that are pretty much your mates that you game with and share the best moments of your life with, can have serious problems in their lives. From depression to critical accidents to marriage breakdowns to severe anxiety and then to life threatening scenarios, this list could go on and on. I'll never share personal conversations, thats not right to do so, but I think it's right for me to say this out loud that for these reasons alone is enough to keep me driving this place forward with the all the great people that support it so much. You see, I will always be there for you all. But it isn't just me. Forever Gaming will be here for you all. Whenever you need us. There's some wonderful people here that have some great views on life and offer amazing support, even when you think you don't need it. I can't do this without @Diddums @phil bottle @tronic44 @crispymorgan and everyone else outside of us that sort out the little adminy bits to keep it ticking over. The second and last point to make is when I was looking for @ChaosGladiator address in my PMs so I could send him a little pressie from the FGFGF, I came across @Stretch616's PM to me on October 26, 2014. It was a blog draft for our first ever Vault of Glass run. Its an amazing write up and made me realise not to feel so bad to nudge and nag (just like this post) some of you to remind you why we're here and why we're more than just a gamertag. I'll put his original post in a Spoiler below but I wanted to pick out a key message in his awesome write that I don't think ever got to a blog post in the end. It was this: However, Forever Gaming is not about the end result, it’s about the journey. I think it says it all. I'll be sharing this around with as many FGers, old and new as I can. I think Stretch's words are worth reading alone. And if you still with me by now, thank you. For that, its the reason why as of today you now see whole new sections for Guides, Tournaments, Photo Comps, Controller Hospital (Patch Notes below) and everything else that was already here. Thanks all for an amazing ride so far. I appreciate every single one of you coming back to FG, however long your absence has been. What I do hope this time though, is you just stay a little longer - you may not know or realise it, but your words and time taken out to read others words might make the key difference in their life. "If you are there always for others, then in time of need, someone will be there for you." I think this is pretty fitting for Forever Gaming. That's really down to all the wonderful people here. I can go on and on about how this year for me personally has been a hard start but I imagine, and in a lot of cases I know, that a lot of people's lives inside and outside of FG are in a far more difficult spot. You all deserve a place that's always here when you need it. You need people, not just me, that are willing to listen, care about your opinion and are here to make your lives worthwhile. We've been relatively quiet in 2019 so let's make a little noise for all those people that need a little fun and support. We've made a planner for the next few months. I hope you can see there's different bits and bobs on there for everyone. Its a start. Let's build on it together. They'll be more than just this I'm sure. One feature I wanted to just pick out is FGer Game Choice. We all love different games but we can't play them all the time. However, as we organise most nights for us to party up, its only right that we should ask treasured FGers what they think we should play for a night of fun together. This should be for new and old FGers and the only way this will work though is if we support each other and play for those few hours. It may not be much sometimes but for others it means far more than you'll ever know. I want to see more people here and in other pockets of FG. You all sometimes forget and don't even realise that y'all being around together with the tiniest nod to say 'hi' or 'nice work' is huge. I won't go on any further. Look at the pic. They'll be corresponding events, quizzes, threads, tourneys posted up in good time all over FG. Get involved. If not for yourself, but for others. GGFG

I appreciate I haven't spent really any time on the new server. Hopefully I can rectify that in September. What would be really good is if we can discuss other ideas to what we can achieve as a group. When I touch base with this again, i'd like some goals to achieve together rather than set my home up and explore on my own. Ideas don't have to be big, they could be a small 1/2 day thing which a few of us can do.

The Division 2 Raid is now out so I think its time to start properly levelling up and seeing if we can get a full 8 man squad to take the airport down. Has anyone come across any tips to what we would need to be ready? I'd like to focus on levelling up and as soon as i'm level 30, focus on the right type of gear to get. Who else is up for the challenge?
