Its been a while since I did an FG update. So bear with (with who? where is he! I can't see it!? ffs, Lee) I'm sure everyone's days are blending into one these days. 2020 has been one of those years for the history books and we could've said that in March, let alone December which is still just over 5 months away. Isolation has been a double-edged sword in some respect; its been great to see so many chances to spend more time with your immediate family at home but what comes with permanent home comforts is the lethargic lack of routine, loneliness, depression, anxiety which we've also seen impact so many of us. I imagine you all can relate to some degree? For a week or two I've wanted to write something but I've hesitated because I know I have to be ready to 'Walk the Walk' not just 'Talk the Talk' when I really want to make the most of this place for everyone and makes sense to pick up the things we've talked about over the past few years. Who knows if i'm ready, but i'm willing to give it my best shot and there's no better time to dust ourselves off in the midst of some soul searching in isolation. It'd be ace to start creating some of that Legacy i talked about in the article I did back in January. I think the best way to keep everyone in the loop is being open and letting you know a few pressing items I want to see progress with over the coming weeks and months - and I would love to get as many of you involved which I'm working on ways to get to that. Please keep reading! Merchandise Shop - this requires me to purchase and install a whole new section for FG which i'm hoping you'll all enjoy FG Points/Gamerscore - A way to have a meaningful way that gives everyone here an added bonus for being around FG where possible Creating new sections New entire page spaces for games - we can make as many as we'd like providing we can maintain support New homepage - to remind everyone of everything we do. We aren't just a Forum any more, we are far more awesome than that Expanding existing areas Guides & Tips section - the fairly new section needs some love and there's some amazing people here that do great info tips for you all that can easily get lost Re-engaging with old FGers - life's too short to miss everyone and its great seeing so many faces come back, lets do things to get other ones back too. For me its the case of, Why Not, you have nothing to lose seeing old faces and friends. Open our doors to new FGers - we should make more people aware of what we do best - they can have a home here and we can all help them in whatever problems they have. The PPR section just shows how much we have all done to help each other and long may that continue. Regular gaming nights schedule - to help people to keep themselves free, get involved and most importantly make sure the right game is updated and downloaded! Finding more ways to help others Picking up and driving some real charity fundraisers starting with charity streams Try to get a regular pattern on sending out Feel Good Fund parcels to caring FGers I'd hope you all agree whilst there's more we can always find to do, most importantly this is a ton to look forward to as a group/family. Other posts to follow but if you have any burning thoughts please shout up below - a poll will go alongside this post to ask absolutely anyone here if they want to get involved in any specific stuff in the coming weeks and months. Post all your ideas or thoughts no matter how big or small on here. Things that aren't a fault but you miss what we use to have or something completely new. Equally, if something is too excessive and prefer it removed. Let's have it all here so we might be able to group some changes up into one night of updates. I asked a while back via a poll to try and work out best days to do raids but its difficult as we all can do so many different days and it really didn't matter what we ended up picking...so we din't do anything! So lets start using Thursdays for now as a start off point. Btw, this isn't saying we won't do raids on other days because this day won't suit all. However, to start getting back into the game and making sure we have a regular bunch of people around to learn raids more regularly in turn will mean we can confidently try and complete more raids on other days like over the weekend, etc. I'm thinking we try this via events on the Event Calendar and we try and focus on one type of raid each week. It'll give time to people to realise which one we're trying out and get in the mindset to do their best for that particular raid. If people can't make it or request other times, lets help them and put up an event so we can see if we can get 6 people around. There's been a number of new FGers join recently on Destiny and I know some old folk are starting to get back into it, so happily share what your thoughts are below on what stuff you'd like to try, whens best for you, etc. I genuinely believe if we knew it 'raid night' on a set day like Thursday we can be soon getting at 1-2 teams being able to jump in and help each other. If it doesn't work, then we can always keep trying other ways to get us playing the fun stuff together. Consistency for us all to get behind an idea is the key to us all having loads of fun and completing all the things we'd like to do so please consider getting behind events and whatever we put up. It was about time we needed a little refresh of sorts for our home to keep it fresh and take the FG baton speeding into 2020. So, I've spent quite a while updating most of the applications and features here but of course, as you can see we now have a nice new feel! Whilst there's still lots to do and updates to be done across many parts of FG still, this is a nice way to go into the Christmas period with a swanky pad befitting all your needs. You'll see you can now directly choose Light or Dark theme at the top without reloading, change the header to your own one on your Profile at FG and even change the theme colour if you want to (our FG red is the default). The videos section is a brand new section to build on, with options to add live streams that you are aware of. We can make collections when required to do so - go and put some reviews on some of the videos here! We also have Articles which is brand new. This is very similar to the blog space we used to have years ago but now its incorporated and if you feel like you have a good lengthy story to tell rather than in a post, lets hear them! You'll see we already have a number up and waiting to be read so dive in and let us know what you think of it all. There's lots more around so i'll let you have a look around and find stuff out, equally any questions please shout up. I'd urge you to go and visit via your browser or PC if you can so you appreciate the full changes. If there's demand we can do some simple guides to navigate, etc. Lots of the pages and spaces we have are due to be fleshed out a ton over the Christmas and New Year period so you have any suggestions as always, please try and use the tracker so we can get some use out of it. You might've noticed I've been a little quiet of late - I appreciate every single one of you being around for my Grandad/Dad (more in my PPR if you need more info). Not enough words can be said for what this family does for each other and i'm forever grateful. Now we have a chosen charity to support I want to keep momentum going. So we need ideas that you think would work, even if its an idea that raises just a few pounds. The more we have the better chance we all have to get involved. On that note, it would be good to know if you also want to be involved in any of the ideas. If it is anything physical I would absolutely look to get something sorted so you have some form of attire to wear and providing I have the conversations at MIND, i will then work out what i'm allowed to do with their logo, etc. So, drop anything you've got below or/and your involvements!

Let's get the Giving Something Back moving this year that I eluded to in the recent Article posted. We need a Charity to affiliate to, like we asked about in June 2018 but never continued the momentum. Once we have them, we can engage with them and also start looking at doing some small Charity work to support the chosen Charity. I don't want to set a target figure as of yet, let's take this a stage at a time. So if you could be so kind to vote for one or the few that you would be happy to support, after a week we'll close the poll and which ever has won we will name them as our affiliated Charity for at least the next 12 months. I thought we were supposed to make it harder for our own teams, not easier? 😂 Great night last after changing up FG Friday yesterday to Rainbow 6. 8 of us for quite a while...honestly Cripsy, you have to sort your connection issues. Alex was killing me bloody everywhere and thats not right that he nailed me pretty much most rounds. @J&B managed his best to shoot every part of me before wreaking havoc on the enemy. Breadcakes @MrBiron cursed the first game by thinking him, @crispymorgan and me would destroy Alex, @fg_cal and @Stretch616 ...yeah, that didn't end well. Glad Matty @Misneach_ got involved too. Although him saying its his first go and acting like a noob when he was with me, and then coming MVP when he went to the other side was proper dodgy as hell. Note to self - Always pull down enemy shields protecting the bomb. It adds to the intensity of diffusing the bomb and everybody shits their pants. Go big or go home I say.
