  1. Well, I think our experiment worked quite well (providing we all get accepted back into the main clan! ) I like the fact that if for any reason you can't participate it's not a problem Any other feedback?
  2. Sorry Rich but I can't take computer gaming seriously as a sport Sport: noun 1. An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment It's a game like chess, cards, etc........ even darts involves a bit of walking!!
  3. How about this one...... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1967_Football_League_Cup_Final I was 10 at the time but can remember all the fans passing the top of my road on their way to Wembley carrying a big black coffin with "W.B.A." painted in white on the sides They were my local team until I moved to Suffolk and saw the light...or, at least Beattie, Thyssen, Muhren, et al
  4. First saw him in Mork and Mindy and was hooked but I loved his stand up best of all, very sharp!! He could always make me smile A great loss
  5. At the request of my MP friends I've just ordered COD 4....hope it is that good!
  6. Nice Doc and now we finally have a mug shot of you !!
  7. OK a few thoughts on Clan Wars First Wednesday in the month seems like a acceptable result to all so I've removed the poll. Moving on...... As a clan we have become bigger but have developed into a fairly close and friendly group which, I think, is marvellous and something we should try to hold onto As we've grown, the clan wars we have entered have pitted us against bigger groups who seem more... "serious" about it and, whilst we have had a couple of notable wins, we tend to get beaten. No drama in this as it is only a game but the competitive side in most people wants to win The problem as I see it is - how can we go back to being a smaller, compettive war clan but keep our friendly group as it is? Chris TG and I have been discussing this and think we have a solution. It's a bit convoluted so bear with me and keep reading Chris' #2 account, Bondie Boy leaves the clan and starts a new one called #FG War Clan A couple of days before a clan war we put a note up on the game chat thread and on the forum and anyone who wants to take part leaves the main clan and joins #FG War Clan, remembering that only the highest 5 or 10 can actually take part (this is the only problem I can forsee if we have say 8 people who want to compete) After the clan war has ended and people have collected their winnings (if there are any!!), everyone except Bondie Boy leaves the war clan and rejoins the main clan again. Rinse and repeat again in a months time This means that everyone who wants to play knows they will be available, will be using two attacks therefore maximising our chances of winning and those who don't want to war as it's not their bag, or they're on holiday, have family or work commitments, etc. can just ignore it. The main and most important upshot is the main FG clan stays together for 95% of the time What are your thoughts? Do you want to try it?
  8. We won....on bloody Sky!!!
  9. Think I'll wait until I'm happy with the main game
  10. No Football Focus??!!

  12. Terry Butcher - Legend!! One of my favourite players. I was at Luton when he was injured and lost all that blood. He was poleaxed and the whole stadium just went quiet This is an old interview but a good read http://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/terry-butcher-one-one
  13. We've got Fulham at home tomorrow and, given as it's on Sky, we'll probably be soundly tonked!
  14. ...... but really, surely they know you can x-ray wood? :-) Click the link for pictures http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/28711774 Jimmy Neesham's bat drilled with holes by US customs officials New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham had holes drilled into his bat by United States customs officials during an apparent drugs search. Neesham's bat showed at least four holes following its brush with customs officials Neesham, 23, was travelling in America with Caribbean Premier League side Guyana Amazon Warriors when his bat was inspected on Thursday. The ruined bat was returned to Neesham, who posted a picture of it on Twitter. "Imagine if your gear went through America and they drilled holes in your bat to look for drugs," he said. There is no suggestion Neesham, who has played four Tests and 11 one-day internationals, was under any suspicion by the customs officials. While the bat is unlikely to be swung in anger again, it may yet have a future as a museum piece. Responding to Neesham's tweet, the New Zealand Cricket Museum said: "If that bat's now as useless as it appears, do you fancy donating it our way? Interesting story to tell our punters!"

  24. 200 million people world wide watched NFL football 4.7 BULLION people world wide watched English Premier League football Just a gentle dig at Chris' "REAL" football coment all statistics should be taken with a healthy pinch of salt and I have no intention of starting a 'which is better' sport war I was just curious about interest in soccer over there, and given the apparent world wide appetite, I wonder if any North American backers will give it a serious push
