This is more of a Destiny 2.0 impression. I'm not a fan at all of this new light system. I feel forced to equip whatever gives me the highest light as opposed to what I actually want to use. To be fair, it's not much different than the pervious system, but that at least only affected armor. Now I feel like mechanics dictate my entire loadout.

Yep, at least among common and uncommon guns there are. Not sure about rares. Legendaries and Exotics all seem to have an element.

Now, I love LOVE, the work of Nolan North--Dr. Richtoffen, Nathan Drake, David from The Last of Us--but does anyone actually think he's an upgrade over Peter Dinklage as Ghost? Dinklage had some pretty shite dialogue to work with and some delivery issues here and there, but I for one thought he had a great voice. Now my Ghost sounds like a slightly effeminate 15 year old.

My situation is that I've got a brand new character and only have one elemental sniper. I was wondering if I should be carrying a Kinetic one as well assuming all attack values being the same. Sounds like the answer is no.

If you create a new character and use the Spark of Light, do you still need to play through the main story to unlock all of the campaign missions?

Versus a shielded enemy and you do not have a weapon of the appropriate element is it better to use: 1 Kinetic damage 2 Different element 3 Makes no difference if attack values are the same
