Origin Story Destiny Comics

Following in Blizzard's path, Destiny will get its first Webcomic starting next week.

 

First one is about Osiris when he was part of the Vanguard and how and why he was exiled. For lore fans like myself but hopefully people that enjoy any type of background story, this is a good move. If they're anything like the Blizzard ones with Overwatch these will definitely be appreciated.

Oh fantastic! This is a brilliant way to expose more of the lore to casual fans

I just hope they don't dumb it down however. We had such a strong base of lore in D1.

Lol! I couldn't agree more with the second sentence.

However, I geniunely don't think it would save them money. Maybe a little but its different people doing the comics at most likely a far cheaper value to a Game Developer having to create a specific lore tab and all the functions to go with it.


That said, I geniunely think they'll add some way to relook at lore in the game next year. The recent updates have added way more lore tabs on armour and guns than previously but most have gone unnoticed. They have to a way on their agenda to be showing this in a centralised way in-game.

The comic is now live and there's a secret code hidden in morse code at the back of the comic book which gives you a pretty neat Osiris emblem.

 

Put the following code into Bungie.net and you can then redeem it to get the emblem in game:
