It's a long article, so make the jump, good info in there for SSD owners

Luke 23:34
'And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't think it be like it is, but it do."

With the misinformation around about SSDs this kind of article is excellent. I always have that feeling in the back of my head I'm using CCLeaner too much or too often installing and uninstalling games.

So I think I can relax a little now, cheers for posting.

The thing I really love about the article is it is clearly about the number of "Writes" to the drive. Reading does little to nothing to SSD's.

Do we have that old thread about SSD's around here still? There was some great advice in there as well

I read the article.  It sounds like they're more durable/long lasting than I thought.

This.  This is exactly how I feel.   The article definitely helped me relax a little about the wear and tear of SSD's.

"The last victim fell at 1.2PB, which is barely a speck in the rear-view mirror for our remaining subjects. The 840 Pro and a second HyperX 3K have now reached two freaking petabytes of writes. To put that figure into perspective, the SSDs in my main desktop have logged less than two terabytes of writes over the past couple years. At this rate, it'll take me a thousand years to reach that total."

I know, it's really great news. I'll still take care and not abuse it but.... it's good to know I don't have to stress too much if I'm using it a lot!
