tronic44 3,642
Read about this last night before i went to bed and unfortunately have woken up to find at least 201 people have died. They say there were around 787 people were in the mine and around 363 miners have been saved. Apparently the blast happened 1.2 miles under ground, that's insane! They've been pumping fresh air into the mine to try and reduce the high levels of carbon monoxide. Another sad day for this world, my thoughts and prayer are with everyone involved. http://news.sky.com/story/1261048/turkey-mine-blast-201-dead-and-toll-may-rise Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/1314-turkey-mine-blast/ Share on other sites

Diddums 4,346
This is fucking tragic. I often laugh at our H&S over here but once you see something like this, it does widen your eyes a bit. My condolences go to the families of these people, can't imagine how hard it must be for them. tronic44 3,642
It's up to 282 now! Looks like this is spilling over onto the government who obviously should have been doing a better job with health and safety. Apparently this is one of the worst mines in Europe for safety standards and i can see why....... This is what their Prime Minister had to say, "these types of things in mines happen all the time" "It's in its nature. It's not possible for there to be no accidents in mines. Of course we were deeply pained by the extent here." On a scale of 1 - twat, what a cunt! I'm really not surprised people are kicking off at it all, he obviously doesn't think it's worth while putting money into something that could save hundreds of lives. Are we once again going to have to sit here and watch a whole load of people get fed lies and not told the truth? More than likely.
