Any can't miss bargains out there? I'm strongly considering picking up Fallout 4 and/or New Vegas for the PC. I had a ton of fun with them on console and figure mods might extend the fun a bit.
I'm good for the moment, but thanks. I want to play through Never Winter Nights again at some point, and once the weather warms up a bit I won't have as much time for games again.
I have a copy of Metal Gear Solid V for PC (Steam) if anyone fancies it. Just PM me and I'll pass you the key.
Also have Resident Evil Revelations on Steam going too...
Turns out I can't play that Resident Evil. The way the screen jitters and moves, particularly the quick turn, makes me ill. I've tried 3 times with various screen settings and get "car sick" feelings and have to put it away after 15 minutes or less. The only other game that's done that to me was Rage.
Metal Gear has been a lot of fun, though I'm completely lost in the story. I played the original on NES back in the day, and the one where Snake is old now on PS3. I'm not familiar at all with the lore of the game that's been built up or WTF is going on here. Game play is fun, though. I mean, who doesn't love a game about using horse poo to cause cars to spin out and using light bondage to improve employee morale?
Nice one, I saw it had some good reviews, wasn't sure if it's what we call a 'bus man's holiday'.

No, not really. Definitely minimal to no overlap with actual detective work. I finished it up. Not sure I'd pay more than a couple bucks for the game for anyone who's considering it.
@Docwagon no-one has claimed Metal Gear or Resident Evil, still have both if you fancy? See above.
Check this thread for other games.
Also, please share laptop specs in the hardware section so we can drool👍
I finished up Witcher 3 and did the first two cases in Darkside Detective. Obviously a campy little game, but so far it's been a nice little diversion.
Hello all. I just picked up Witcher 2 for $2.99 and Witcher 3 for $19.99 on GOG. I know Jason was a big fan of 3. I've not been gaming very much at all lately but got myself a decent gaming laptop for Christmas this year and figured I'd give them a go.
If anyone is on Steam and is playing Tower Keepers (free to play strategy game) I've been playing that on mobile for quite a bit. Same user name as here. Feel free to hit me up on Discord.
He's all about the gun. I've tried him without havoc strike, and then he's just a boring weaker version of the Turian Ghost. I figured out he doesn't really need the last two ranks of fitness. You are going to use his stim packs if you get hurt anyway, so shield delay decrease doesn't help much and you get more shields from the 4th level of stim pack than the 6th level of fitness. With the weapons buff for havoc strike and the debuff of cryo blast, you can increase your weapon damage by a bit over 1/3. The stability bonus helps with head shots and the bonus damage there.
Just be careful with the strike. Most of my deaths are the result of charging into something without noticing the pyros near by or some other stupid charge.
The important bits are weapons damage upgrade whenever possible, and DON'T take the duration bump for Marksman. You need the magazine extension on the rifle, as well.
The Adas + QM is glitched. The RoF doesn't change when you turn on Marksman until you left off the trigger and start shooting again, which sucks. It also doesn't change the RoF when Marksman runs out until you left off the trigger, which is awesome.
So, hit Marksman and just hold the trigger down. Marksman will wear off and start its cool down before the magazine is empty. It will be ready for reset about the time you run dry. Left off the trigger, hit Marksman again (which automatically refills your magazine as well) and you're right back to increased RoF without the need to reload.
The Adas applies ammo very well, staggers, does a bit of AoE, and really the only downside is the slow RoF, which this fixes. Phantoms, hunters, etc. will stay stun locked. It's a really nasty build.
Eh, I find cooldown to be less critical with him since he gets DR while in the melee and by the time the melee is over, biotic charge is just about ready to go again, even with the omni-blade attachment. It also gives 700 more melee damage bonus than the regular blade, which is huge. YMMV.
Yeah, that's what I meant by the heavy blade, the one that actually adds weight to the gun. Since I'm very rarely shooting anyway I like the wraith. The slow ROF doesn't matter. Charge, shoot once, heavy melee. With Cryo ammo, its fun to make ice cubes.
The Reeger is probably the more effective choice, TBH, but I just like the Wraith.
Neither shadow strike nor the Biotic/Electic hammer count toward the melee damage challenge. Just FYI.
So, I'm thinking Batarian Brawler or the Krogan Vanguard as the best characters to finish that up. I'll try to be on tonight, just depends on how busy things are.
Hey, I asked, Collectors or Cerberus. Patrick said ....................... And I'm sure you said something flip, I don't know, I wasn't paying attention. xD
The Asari Justicar is just so rubbish versus Geth.
Apologies Patrick, Collectors on Gold is no way to ease back into ME3 multiplayer. It wouldn't have been as bad if lepercolony hadn't bailed on us to do "laundry". Pfft
That may be what you thought. What you actually said was "Reapers or Cerberus?" and I said I didn't care.
No problem. I was expecting the reapers
Well, that's because you listened to Jason's words and not his brain waves. Simple mistake.
