You can also adopt them and dress them up as well... There is a bit of a thing online of people amassing collections of them π

I feel like the PS5 has never really got into its stride, its just a slightly faster PS4 as far as I'm concerned...with the PS5 Pro being more in line of what it should have been...and with talk that to really be able to enjoy the next GTA its best to have a Pro, which is currently around Β£700 π and they're already talking about PS6 being on the horizon π

I was busy this weekend and didn't get much chance to game but I did manage a couple of hours last night. Really enjoying the game so far, I'm still exploring the starting area, I've been sneaking into manor houses and looking for loot. Some have stongboxes with puzzles to navigate and these have items that help buff you up. Still getting to grips with a pretty complex control system. As I said in my Steam review, whoever designed the keyboard layout was obviously drunk. It's a really enjoyable game and I think I'll be playing it lot. Oh yes, you can pick up cats and pet them π₯°

Don't know if anyone saw but the PS5 price is going up by roughly Β£90 in the UK... Isn't this the first time console prices have gone up during the lifespan rather than down as the cost of manufacturing decreases generally as they get more efficient and such. Will the xbox follow suit, will the Switch see price increases at some point do you think? We have obviously seen it with PC gaming with components increasing dramatically in price in recent years.

I am still having a lot of fun, I think someone said to me the other day that it is essentially what they wanted from Dragons Dogma 2. Another thing that has been good since launch is the listening to player feedback and then updating and patching the game with incredible speed. I think the latest gripe was that many of the unique mounts are time limited but they appear now to be working through them and making them permanent.

I think it's indicative of the state of the gaming market moreso than the sale. There isn't much that is 'new' or 'innovative' and even if there were, the way these storefronts work you just end up looking at the same 100 or so games time and time again. I have tried to scroll through a few times recently and you scroll through and find you are looking at the same old tripe and just give up.

I took the dive this morning, and yea, there is literally nothing on there that is interesting. No lie though, I am happy to hear that someone else feels the same way, because I thought it was just me

I have not looked to be honest, I am skint as it is and it's only going to tempt me. The last few times I looked as well there was just so much crap to wade through that I lost interest after a couple of minutes. I think with these you are best off knowing what you want in advance and just search for it, if the price is ok then pull the trigger.

I finished the game and the DLC on Xbone on 2 different playthroughs. I will try this version out this weekend, just need to redesign a factory over in Satisfactory first lol
-
Anything good in there? I was starting to look into it and saw online where folks were talking about Dynamic pricing being used (Game is listed for 27$ in one city, but $40 in another)
-
Its still 70$ over here so I am going to wait for a sale to grab it. Outside of yalls reviews I haven't seen anything other than people being mad about AI, which I get, but isn't necessarily a deal breaker for me.

I have seen those sort's of deals and really skeptical, I feel like you would buy it and they would reset the password somehow and steal the account back. I played a bit more yesterday and I think it was growing on me more and more, as you say it scratches an itch but I'm not entirely sure what itch that is π It's not perfect by any means but it's big, there appears to be quite a bit to do and explore and you have to just keep in mind that the game is initially a sandbox to play in and then the story is a secondary feature. I suppose a bit like how Fallout 76 turned out and how Outward is meant to be I think?

I managed a couple of hours on this yesterday evening. As it suggested using a controller I decided I might give it a go with my Steam Link, which lets me play it on my TV. After literally 42 updates to the device (been a while since I used it lol) I played an hour on my TV. However, 1080p on a 4K TV, it didn't look great, so I went back on my PC monitor. I played it at 1440p and it looked beautiful, I was very surprised my card could handle it but I was getting just over 60fps on medium settings. What an amazing card it is, they've never made a better one imo. The good. I like the game a lot, it definitely scratched a certain itch. I think I'm going to want to spend a lot of time on it. I might start over on kb&m. It was fine with a controller but we'll see. I like going to chat with NPCs and they've got an assortment of English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish accents which is pretty cool. I've watched a few tips videos and the first thing I did was ring the town bell to open up more of the map. The game is massive. The bad. It crashed three times in two hours. Now that's annoying. Fortunately it autosaves whenever you do anything interesting, so no progress was lost. Hopefully more patches to the game will fix that. All in all I'm glad I picked it up. Not for Β£35 in the end, as that turned out to he a weird deal involving playing on another account...

The game seems a bit marmite for some folks out there. However, I finally got around to trying out Dragons Dogma 2 yesterday and wasn't impressed so I've taken the plunge and bought Crimson Desert on Steam. I'll give it a go this evening to see if my geriatric 1080ti can handle it.

So I have had a couple of hours on it now so I will give you a rundown of the key areas of a game for me:- Visually it looks great for the most part, there are elements where the textures appear quite rough though, I am sure you will have seen the waterfalls online as one example. Story I think is ok so far though it's a little what the hell is going on at the start but it is slow going, I have read like above that the first few hours it takes a bit to get going and I am seeing that. Gameplay I think is somewhat weak, not for the fact there isn't much there but I think there is too much and it throws everything at you quite quickly, the number of controls / button presses I have been given in the first couple of hours is mad. I do think this would be better on PC rather than PS5 where you can much more easily customise your controls I imagine. I think you can see where the MMO rubs off from their previous game, there are elements like the knowledge that I am fairly sure comes from Black Desert from memory. I don't think it explains stuff particularly great, it tries to but sometimes I still don't feel like I fully understand how to do something, it would be good if there was someway to go back and review a tutorial item or something. World building from what I have seen so far is great, it's huge, there's not too much hand holding but enough some people won't moan. I don't know yet how invested I will get in places. There seems to be a wealth of things to do with mini games and such Then as far as a game goes I think it's actually quite fun, when I said there was a lot in it before, there are things in this game that you would not typically put in a medieval setting. The dev's have not forgotten this is a game, that they can do whatever they want and don't have to follow a formula or I don't know, this is a medieval game so everyone must follow a certain style. I think of Witcher and every character was the same, the combat is what you would expect of it but with this I have no idea what is going to be given to me or thrown at me next. It is not polished, it does not feel like a Rockstar game or a Nintendo Zelda but I am having fun with it so far especially now the game's opening up a bit and there is a bit more direction with quests that need completing and such. Oh the arm wrestling mini game will ache your thumb it's horrible π I have yet to come across any bugs on the PS5 and I had heard there were a few issues.

Sighβ¦ I swear you could put Kepa in goal behind Maldini, Vidic, Desailly and Cafu all in the primes and heβd still find a way to concede a goal. I actually had high hopes going into the match until I saw him on the teamsheet π€¦ββοΈ

I also see IGN gave it a 6/10 and they also gave Concord and the likes a 7/10 so Iβm taking these reviews with a truckload of salt π

I've heard the same. I'm going to hold off on it until I hear back from @Luseth when he tries it out.

I kind of need to upgrade my PC to play this game properly. If the ram crisis calms down I want to upgrade at the start of autumn but will see, PC gaming is mind blowingly expensive right now. But yes, I'm glad they're still busy making this game better and better.

Totally agree with the gooners here, shocking to me how Cheatski got off so lightly but then again look at the world we live in.
