Sea of Thieves probably won of the best reveals at E3 if I'm honest with this amazing crossover they now have in game as of yesterday! When I first watched this, I literally couldn't believe they've managed to keep this quiet and release it so soon after the trailer! This is always the game that I want to get back into every time I see it, but its all about lining up a crew to be around. Its hilarious as hell, and more intense than you realise because of how the crew have to work together to even just get the ship to the right island. I've always struggled though with how to find the next steps to the quests or Tall Tales as they are called I believe. Any help is greatly appreciated because this has been well received and a permanent change to the game. Anyone else interested? Apparently you can now make an alliance between ships and crews so arguably you can have more than 4 people on working towards similar or the same loot/goals.

Sea of Thieves is now moving to a monthly cadence for updates so we have more regular changes to the game that should make you want to stay in the game for longer periods rather than wait for months with the big content drops they've done previously. I like this way of updates. Initially feels light but before you know it they'll be a few more months content and it pushes the play around the seas and gives you multiple choices to have different nights chasing after different loot or whatever the update is. I really fancy jumping back into this to see if we can find some of this explosive loot and see if we can get the high value contracts/quests. What do others think to this more regular pattern of updates?

So as the game has been out for a few weeks now, it is pretty fair to say the game is beautiful but quite shallow on the rewarding content that you need to give you a reason to keep sailing. Rare released this video outlining their content plans. 6 larger content updates. 1 in May 2 in Summer 2 in Fall/Winter All add a new AI threat. Inbetween content is Weekly Events. These will utilise more of the map to explore things like underwater caverns and reefs, secret treasures and thrones to find with unique rewards. All of this will be free (in fairness I agree it should as £50 for this game was extremely high) so by half year I feel this game should be extremely playable. I can't say enough how beautiful the game is so with more content to help us along I'm relieved to say the least.

First on solo I had no idea what I was doing. Second night on with @phil bottle and it is brilliant fun. Got shot of a cannon, drank grog and got sick. Then put in a bucket and then chucked it over Phil. Twas hilarious. Did some voyages (quests/missions) to kill some skeletons and then had to find the right island for some treasure. Dug it up and brought it home for to collect our gold. Did well not to run into any other scurvy crew so maybe next time will go out searching for the big ships and see if we can take them on. I can see already where the initial criticism has come to the game about content but I don't think it's made to grind for 7 hours a day to to do the voyages as quick as you can. It's a real relaxing game to play and sailing on the seas looks great. As the ships have a few things going on, it really makes a significant difference if you play in a party. Playing solo I think you'll struggle to enjoy the game as you get some reward out of taking roles such as lookout or checking the map whilst others sail the ship and another changes the speed of and direction of your sail. I wouldn't say its worth the full £50 from an objective viewpoint, however for the FG value of playing with people here i'm definitely thinking it was still a good purchase. Looking forward to trying crossplay at some point with a few of Xbox people to see how that runs. Oh, and being able to play musical instruments together is hilarious. Definitely grabbing a beer or 7 when we go sailing again.

Thought it would be good to get some quick basic tips to help people starting out. A few people have given me the following so far: You can shoot other ships through waves – it sounds like the bottom of the ships are the most successful and dangerous target to focus on. Stock up on supplies whenever you can(bananas/wood planks/cannon balls) The more treasure on your ship, the riskier you are playing(pirates will be pirates) If you are returning treasure, people wait at outposts to steal it. So, if you see a ship or blue smoke in the water at an outpost, someone is there. prepare to fight or go to another one Cannon balls arch down and when moving, they arch behind you, practice is all you can do

SoT has 60 achievements which I'll paste below however it caught my eye because of how they are all riddles keeping with the theme of the game. Which one is your favourite one?
