Easily in my top 5 games of all time. The graphics were and still are a sight for sore eyes on a 16-BIT machine playing not one but two of the most iconic Disney characters. The game wasn't necessarily hard. However, over 8/9 levels it built a story that even Destiny would struggle to compete with. Playing single player having a choice between Mickey and Donald was a no-brainer; it had to be Mickey. Although, there wasn't any differences in the characters that I could see so it is just down to personal preference. The magical element to wipe away your enemies with your fancy dishcloth was created beautifully, with sound effects that complimented the enemies but also the background music. The playing cards as health were a nice touch and picking up sweets along the way attracted the younger audience it set out to achieve. However, this game really kicked in when playing 2-player co-op. Yes. Co-operative play in a Disney game on the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis. That wasn't the least of it. The true beauty lied within how both characters had to work together through the same levels but utilise scenery and even themselves to get through the level. Many a time Findmartin and I were stuck on the level where you had to jump on clouds but if you didn't move quick enough the cloud would go for the latter player jumping across. They even took the time to make fascinating expressions and actions, from when you could get hit and they looked shell-shocked, to getting stuck on corkscrews and literally their bodies would swivel into one before being shot upwards and back to normal. I've completed this so many times, just for the enjoyment of seeing the mesmerising looks and smooth gameplay of relatively simple game.
