This debate has been rumbling along for quite a while now and it feels to me like it divides the Destiny players somewhat. So let's see what you think here and what's the happy medium going forward? My personal opinion is that I dont care that they bring them back providing enough new exotics are created along side them. I need to pull the facts from somewhere but I'm pretty sure we have around 60 new exotics (includes armour) whereas we have around 16-18 Destiny 1 exotics. We've always wanted a world where the game evolves and feels like it's one big game. Especially as most peoples complaints from D1 was that they couldn't take their stuff with them to D2. It's kinda weird to me they just forget that's how they felt and those people are the same ones to slate another Exotic comes back that's 'boring' cos we've seen it before. I think it also boils down to how they play. Imo it's worth looking at new exotics and making them relevant and trying not to make a D1 exotic way more powerful than new ones as perception makes the newer ones feel even worse. What do you reckon? Happy to see more? Dont want to see anymore? What should they do?

This by far is probably the most exciting change in May alongside the huge buffs and changes most exotics are getting. Exotics will now have something similar to Legendary guns that will give people to chase (targeted to the hobbyists of Destiny). First off every Exotic Weapon requires a 'Catalyst' to charge it. It will give you the information on how to do this, some maybe easy, one-off things, others longer and more cryptic. Once charged it will give you a similar enhanced gun to Legendary Masterworks - generate orbs on double kills and kill counter. The bit that will bring out a little more chase to find the info is that then there are further steps, or step for some guns that will give them a specific unique perk to add further dimensions to the gun. This bit is the one that makes me feel like its worthwhile coming back. The perks added are unique to that Exotic. One speculated so far is the Vigilance Wing, the current beast of PvP, gets a Full Auto perk. Finally they are making changes (and not far away either) to add what was missing in D2.

6 exotic armour pieces received changes with the update today. Some really good changes to Synthoceps and a few other key pieces. There should also be more to follow later in the year which will be a nice addition. Hunter Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves While you are critically wounded, swapping to a Sidearm increases its damage (2x in PvE, 1.33x in PvP). The Dragon’s Shadow Dodge reloads all weapons simultaneously. Dodging now also grants +5 mobility for the duration of Wraithmetal Mail, in addition to its previous benefits. Added a UI indicator for the Wraithmetal Mail buff. Titan Lion Rampant Hipfiring no longer interrupts Lift. Increased hipfire accuracy while airborne. Synthoceps Now grants a flat melee damage bonus for 8 seconds when you are surrounded by three or more enemies (3x in PvE, 2x in PvP). This buff also increases Super damage while active (+50%). Warlock Lunafaction Boots Now allows your Rift to continuously reload weapons while you or allies stand in it. Empowering Rift grants a boost to weapon range and aim assist. Sunbracers Solar melee kills now grant unlimited Solar grenade energy for a short duration.

At the start of season 3 (May 8th), exotic weapon changes are incoming. A little teaser from Bungie Twitter shows the Graviton Lance at work. It looks bloody impressive.

Bungie released some pictures of exotics with differentor ornaments attached. To get them, you'll need some radiant treasures. I think the Trespasser looks pretty darn cool in both colours.
