So this one was announced and released during the xbox developers event yesterday. Made by the studio responsible for The Evil Within series, It's also a Day one Game Pass release too, so I downloaded it and gave it a go this evening. It's a very bright and colorful graphical style, but the gameplay is a mash-up between a DMC type action, and a rhythm based game. The whole world runs to a beat of a tune, and all attacks, dodges, jumps, and movement is in synch with the beat. Timing button presses to the beat gives a damage output bonus too, and even the enemies attacks adhere to the same rules, so predicting attacks can be fairly easy to judge. It's been a fun little game so far. Check it out if you've got game pass.

This game just dropped late last week and it's a beauty! It's has a similar isometric view point as Deaths Door (PLAY IT) and plays like a classic Zelda game. I highly recommend this to everyone that has xbox game pass and it's currently available on xbox platforms as a timed exclusive and steam.

A tech demo is available now for free on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The full demo is below and it acts as a tease to the new film (Matrix Resurrections) coming out very soon and also to show off the ability of the next gen consoles. I initially thought it was a game and it very much looked like the old James Bond RPG games which could be pretty linear but also very enjoyable but now its not that i'm a little gutted truth be told. Who knows if the film gets a good reception they may decide to create a fully fledged game in the future. Let us know if you try it out.

Another little gem I came across this week. I've only just started this but from what little I've played, It's really good. Top down, kind of diablo point of view, hack and slash with rouge lite elements I believe? Like I said, I haven't got very far. I'll post more when I've progressed further. Available on Xbox and Steam.

EA has formally announced that Burnout Paradise is coming to PS4 and Xbox One this March. An enhanced version of developer Criterion Games’ classic open-world racing game will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 16 for $39.99. The remastered version of the game will support 4k resolution on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles, and will run at 60FPS on all platforms too. Burnout Paradise Remastered will include almost all previously released downloadable content for the game and have clarified that there will be no microtransactions in the game, either. This is great news. The Burnout Series was amazing and trying to time that perfect ultimate crash was all worth it.

Analysts have predicted by the end of the year that Switch will have outdone Xbox sales. Whilst never being a major Nintendo fan, after seeing it in action and then buying one, I have to admit I am in awe of how they've cleverly hit the handheld and console market so successfully with the Switch. The worry was always about the games, however whilst we still wait for more 3rd parties to create remasters and more games for it, the current selection of Switch games are all up in the 8/9/10 out of 10 games available. Microsoft just can't compete with just Halo being there only successful major exclusive product (imo). Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8, Zelda, Splatoon 2 and now Smash Bros. The port L.A. Noire looks impressive and bespokely made for their controls too. The one true gap for them really destroying the market is the community and friends capability. It's an extremely poor experience and one which you'd think they'd at least have a basic infrastructure built by now. Here's hoping they really invest in this to allow it to compete against all consoles side by side. Really impressive comeback after the Wii U.

Rumours are spreading across social media about a remastered version of L.A. Noire for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Now I loved this game from Rockstar on my xbox 360. One of the best storylines a game has coupled with some great intuitive interrogation mechanics. Whilst its great to hear for anyone that hasn't played it, I don't see any appeal for anyone that's already played it and completed the story. If they had new game modes then maybe so but I'd be hard pushed to pay full price due to me having it already. If you haven't got it though, you are in some serious good luck if these rumours are true.

You can download a free trial of the game to play Thursday to Sunday this weekend on PC, Xbox and PS4. Also, you can pre-download the PS4 version from today (8th) so it'll be ready for the weekend. If you haven't played it before it is a great game and could've been more of a significant title if it wasn't for their server strategy. However, they are fixing this so if it had enough support, it could become awesome once again. There is nothing like this out there. Fantastic tactical swordplay.

Started a new thread as the other got derailed. Will copy over the key inital info where it came from. It went into beta today for PC, Android and Xbox. Switch won't get beta access although they are part of the live release. The update adds features yet to appear on console - stained glass, parrots, coarse dirt and perhaps most importantly, world conversion. PC folk can download the Minecraft Better Together Update beta now via the Xbox Insider App. On Android, it will be available to those who have already bought the game via the Google Play Store. Worlds you have been building and playing on already will be present in the Better Together Update, and if you play with a world from Xbox One and Nintendo Switch then you'll get extra world generated for you when you reach the edge of your map. Gotta be honest, Sony look like proper dicks not getting with cross-play on this and the longer it goes, the worse it'll get.

This space exploration game is coming to PS4 in June so I was wondering if many people play it on PC and Xbox? It's received good reviews due to 1:1 ratio of the universe and seems a good social game where the community helps each other to find new things in space....sounds a little No Man's Sky but better. It's been out for about a year now so it'll be interesting to see if PS4 players get into this.

This week Microsoft will be teasing their new console spec ahead of E3, which should be a full unveiling. It is expected to have 4k uncompromised gameplay and potentially more powerful than the ps4 pro - Terraflops and memory to be considerably larger. Talks have been we'll see Red Dead 2 being run on it to show its capability. That might be at E3 but its good to hear what we'll be looking forward to seeing on the day.

Anyone hasnt got this yet and wants to try it out, Overwatch will be free to play for PS4 and Xbox One players from 9th-12th September, Blizzard has announced. Unlike the beta, this free weekend will encompass all 22 heroes and 13 maps with all modes enabled (Quick Play, Custom Games, Play vs. AI, and the latest Weekly Brawl). Progress will be carried over should players decide to purchase the game. This will include all content gathered from Loot Boxes, though Trophies and Achievements have been disabled for the free weekend. To find the Overwatch free trial you'll need to search for "Overwatch Free Weekend" on PSN or "Overwatch: Origins Edition Free Weekend" on Xbox Live. The Free Weekend client will be 9GB on PS4 and 15GB on Xbox One.

Any PC players tried this out? Its coming out on Tuesday (30th August) for PS4 with the xbox version being slightly delayed. It has a very good rating on steam and its a World War 1 FPS so I'm pretty bemused to why it hasn't been talked about. Clearly is the only alternative to the upcoming BF1 which I'm sure it won't match up but nevertheless it looks a solid FPS. Verdun Console Announcement Trailer

From the developers of Life is Strange, is a 15-minute gameplay video of their new game. I think could be a big hit in 2017, as Life Is Strange was an underrated success on console. It's on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Really impressive stuff.
