  1. From the second link: Curious about the future of Destiny? Here's a leak you might find interesting—a graphic purporting to lay out what developer Bungie's got planned for the rest of 2015 and beyond. The image, which has apparently been floating around the internet since October but only drew widespread attention this morning thanks to a massive Reddit thread, shows the already-announced first two DLC packs (The Dark Below and House of Wolves) followed by a larger "expansion" called Comet that's slated for September of next year. After that is something illegible ("Vex" something?) and then something called "Forge of Gods."1 So is it real? One source familiar with Destiny's development told me he believes so—and that there have always been plans to release an expansion next fall with the name Comet—but many of the details may have changed. So the overall gameplan—House of Wolves in March; the bigger Comet this September; two DLC packs after that—could remain the same, but the exact contents of each update are probably still up in the air. The full breakdown from this image, as determined by Reddit's magnifying glasses: House of Wolves: three new story missions; one strike; one raid; new PvP maps; the addition of the Reef (where you visit the Queen in the main game). Comet: 12 new story missions; three strikes; one raid; one patrol; one public event; three new sub-classes; and the increase of "Base Level" to 30, which will presumably change the Light system quite a bit. Also, a new map called Hive Ship.234 The third DLC pack will also add story missions and strikes; the fourth is all blank on that image. This all makes sense, of course—and the roadmap fits perfectly both with what I've heard from industry sources and from what we've seen in other Destiny DLC leaks. It's possible the exact numbers will change as Bungie keeps working on this stuff, but it looks like now we've got a full idea of just what's coming this year, not counting free updates and other patches. 2. Treyarch teases Call of Duty 2015 by Nicholas Holden (Holden ZA) Posted Monday, December 08, 2014 11:28:00 AM http://www.mweb.co.za/games/ViewNewsArticle/tabid/2549/Article/17083/Treyarch-teases-Call-of-Duty-2015.aspx The Call of Duty series has seen the first released game of their 3 year development cycle with the recently launched Sledgehammer Games title, Advanced Warfare. The focus now will shift to Treyarch who is set to release the next, still to be announced, Call of Duty title in 2015. The title in question, however, may have had its first leak today as Treyarch have posted an interesting link on their Facebook page. Treyarch's Facebook Link The fan page for Teyarch on Facebook has a had a recent posting that may give us an indication of what we can expect in 2015 for Call of Duty. The post in question had the following quote: "December 7, 1941 ...a date which will live in infamy." - Franklin Delano Roosevelt. " Under the quote was a link to the Attack on Pearl Harbor. The post was done in conjunction with the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack, which happened took place 73 years ago. Why is this relevant? You may think that this is just a commemorative post from Treyarch, but I have my doubts. The history of the Treyarch fan page doesn't seem to follow the suit of paying homage to historic events that are not directly related to their game. The Facebook page commonly pays reference to Black Ops game history (#ThisdayinBlackOps), related industry events, staff member birthdays and community events. The most recent posting has stood out, as it does not tie into what the Facebook fan page has been consistent with in the past. For that reason it has received quite a bit of attention from the Call of Duty community, as the post itself has received over 200 comments and almost 2000 likes in a very short period of time. Most of the comments seem to be sharing the common thought that the posting is not random but indicating what exactly Treyarch has been working on over the past two years. The question remains as to what game that is, and we seem to think that it may be leading towards another World at War title. Why World at War ? The attack of Pearl Harbor was the event that resulted in the U.S deceleration of war on the Empire of Japan. This lead the United States of America into the second World War. It has been almost 6 years since we played a Call of Duty title that has been based in the period of the second World War. Treyarch's last title that was based on the World War 2 period was 'World at War'. World at War has curiously never received a sequel, which is odd for a series that has a trend of bringing out a minimum of two titles under the same name within a development franchise. Whether this speculation ends up being true, remains to be seen. We can only hope that Treyarch manage to keep the franchise progressing with their first shot at a 3 year development cycle. Would you be happy if the next Call of Duty is World at War 2? If not, what would you prefer?
  3. Here's another good read on the topic: http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2r40ln/the_treadmill_comments_from_an_mmo_player/
  4. http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2r3dc1/bungie_when_how_drops_please_respect_our_time/ from Reddit "Looking at this reddit, Bungie.net, my friends list, fan content and 3rd party tools, etc. it is abundantly clear that a lot of people play this game. For hundreds of hours. I dont know what it is, probably the loot system, but bungie has succeeded in keeping us hooked on this game. Players play the raid many times each week, getting loot, getting upgrade mats, playing over and over again, using the utmost skill and top gear to be able to get through the raids so they can hit the highest level. We try over and over again. Then we hit max level after weeks of grinding. Grinding the raid, doing all the bounties, farming the materials, i cannot STRESS how much TIME millions of people pour into this game every day to make progress. And thats what this post is about. Raid gear is becoming obsolete every 3 months, rendering all our hard work pointless, because you can go buy the (ugly) vanguard/crucible/faction gear. Im becoming less enthusiastic about making progress because i know making the same progress will be so much easier in a few months. I feel like a FOOL playing this game, trying to do bounties to level my gear because of this. Please, respect the time we invest in this game and give us a reason to value our raid gear even after the cap is raised and a new raid is available. Make us feel like our time was well spent. Here are some suggestions: An upgrade mat that drops in the new raid(possible hard-mode only?) that allows us to upgrade our old raid gear. Keep the drop rate of this upgrade mat random, to ensure we are playing the raid, and make it so it can only be used once. This material bumps up once piece of raid gear's light level. [Example: The lvl cap is 32. I play crotas end, and by luck i get a material that had a chance to drop from crota. I spend this mat on my vog helmet, and it goes from 30-33 light, so it wont take you to 32, but instead 31, to ensure NEW raid gear is still valuable.] You may think this is dumb because vendor gear can take you to 31, but think of this as an alternative method. This way, i feel like it's fortunate that i grinded for this piece of raid gear beforehand, so now i wont have to grind vanguard marks and commendation, and i can still wear it if i like the look/perks/etc. A variation of this suggestion is that the upgrade mat only drops on VoG HM. I believe this will keep people playing old and new raids, will make them feel like they spent their time well, and prevent any raids from becoming obsolete. For exotics, we should be able to upgrade any exotic we have equipped and approaching the gunsmith with a few requirements and materials, instead of trying to get lucky with a limited time vendor. This post is long enough, so i wont go into detail there. Anyway thats all."
  5. If Call of Duty is anything to go by... 10 or 12 (prestiges).
  6. First you say something nice "best online people I've ever met!" Then, you gotta go and ruin it with "And way better than LoL" Thanks, and blow me!
  7. Thanks for the heads up. That would be pretty sweet!
  8. Just get your Vanguard Rep/Points up and buy what you need to hit 30. The boots are cheap and you don't need a Vanguard Accommodation either. So... just run a bunch of Roc Strikes and you'll be there in no time.
  9. I'm looking forward to playing inFAMOUS: First Light.

  11. Do any of you browse through the member profiles? I do once in a while just to see if anyone put anything interesting. I've found a few gems.
  12. Thanks for posting all of that Ryan. Not much I need or can afford right now. I got the Ghjallahorn upgrade last week. I'd like to have the Last Word upgraded, but I don't have the coins or glimmer. I barely played Destiny this week. Might see how many motes of light I have and pick up an engram. I think I have 13 coins, so I might get some shards.
  13. I've tried Smite and Dota2, but neither of them felt right for me. I guess because I started with LoL. Smite is cool though, I really like the view/perspective in that game. It's just weird starting a new MOBA. I can't imagine playing more than one either, it would be too confusing for me. So, it seems like most people feel the community sucks ass and it takes too much time to learn/get good at. Those are both valid arguments. It just sucks because I know how much fun it is playing in full parties. Hell, just playing with Mike and I is a blast. I'd love to play some private matches w/ group chat. We'd have a ball. Oh well... Thanks for replying guys.
  14. I originally signed up for mw2forum on a New Years Eve night. 6 or 7 years ago, whenever MW2 was out. I had an awesome New Years Eve. Today I've been working on my basement floor all day, so not so fun.
  15. Thanks for doing this Trevor.
  16. Throw my name in the hat
  17. Awesome!!!!!
  18. Are you sure? I've read in a couple of places that Malaysian is the parent company of Air Asia. Either way, it's sad.
  19. I'll be on here shortly...
  20. I'll be on ~9 or 10. Whenever I wake up . Hard Strike sounds good to me.
  21. To each their own, but I certainly don't like the guy. Very annoying to listen to.
  22. So... now that the Shoutbox has been removed for a while. How do you guys feel about it? Personally, I'm glad it's gone. There are times when I miss it, but overall, I think it's helped in getting us to post more. I miss the convenience of it, but it made us lazy. I'm glad it was removed. Thoughts?
  23. Now all you need are some shrooms!
  24. I'd go with Diablo 3 over the other games, but it's all preference. I don't like the GTA series very much at all. FC4 seems like the same game in a new location. D3 is something different than what I normally play, so it's a nice change of pace game.
