  1. that makes sense as well... 500 hours of grinding the new arena mode, and I will get the armor I need/want... a PvE Iron Banner skimish mode... that works I guess...
  2. unless that original ugly ass "raid gear" that had been posting for the last month or so is in fact the arena end game gear, or we may just be buffing what we have already... what I am curious is the proposed arena with 3 of us running around survival/horde mode, and if its the same RNG bullshit, that means no matter how well we do as TEAM, we may get random rewards??? yikes... so you might get a sweet piece of gear, and I might get shit... I know it's the same with the raids, but at least with CE you EVENTUALLY drop a piece or two... as it is "tracking" your drops... The trials requirements will definitley be out of my league and comfort zone, so I am praying I have other options to get to 34... love the weapon upgrade options... that is if they don't make us "drop" the new versions...
  3. he is invisible... I am not unfortunately...
  4. yeah, I just read around lunch time for the update I think...
  5. terrible??? me??? I am a GOD at PvE... now PvP... that's a different story... I will probably take the week off, probably overkill I know for a day tops worth of content, but why not...
  6. anyone check out the update yet???
  7. by dynamic I meant the way it got a big group of us together to shoot and talk and have a great time... as a big group... now we will be limited to three man "nighfall" style play... for the whole expansion, which yes, will still work, but having the six was pretty fun overall... minus the cheese... I was more meaning for the team/gameplay aspect... as for the way the raids can be cheesed??? that's the whole damn game including the 3 player stuff Nightfalls, etc... I am sure this "arena/horde mode" will be no exception...
  8. you do understand how hard it's going to be to get that gear right??? not through the arena... invitation style trial of o... good luck... and with your PvP skills??? yeah ok then... and to think mine are even worse... I will keep the dream alive for the "arena gear"
  9. but wait!!! we might be able to upgrade it??? or is it locked that way forever???
  10. agreed, but making the arena 3 player now takes away from the whole point of the raid dynamic... ridiculous and a total cop out by Bungie... of course I am one of the sheep that will continue to grind and play it, but I have to admit they are full of shit... all the other forums are blowing up right now with displeasure... people demandeing refunds, etc... I know the raid is coming "later" but mark my words... it will be for the new comet NOT the HOW...
  11. I think after this newest kick in the nuts, a lot of people are going to leave...
  12. missions??? I think its 3... or two...
  13. Fatebringer Patience & Time Valedictorian with tracking/arc & my Ghallarhorn... easy week... will be on after 2:30 pm central if anyone wants to run with me...
  14. Looks like no new armor options for us PvEers... As usual Bungie has decided to bang us right up the ass with PvP only rewards... I am assuming we will just have our current options to level up... Edit... I think we might be getting "arena" gear in place of the trials stuff...
  15. Probably... And then want to charge again for a raid? To make us wait for this long, and then pull the raid out under our feet is horseshit... Hoping this arena 3 man PvE stuff pays off..
  16. You will be able to upgrade all legendaries and exotics supposedly... At least we have that...
  17. Nice Trial of Osiris armor... Too back don't play PvP... Oh well, hopefully I have some level 34 options...
  18. Supposedly you can upgrade current exotic AND legendary gear! But looks like they didn't even try to bother with a raid... WTF
  19. You are right!!! No new raid... Just some horde mode... Ridiculous... So what about that new raid gear we have been seeing??? Over the course of the next month, we’ll be revealing exactly what you’ll find in House of Wolves this May. Much like our recent rounds of live update news, we plan on sharing many of the most important details with you right here on Bungie.net. House of Wolves will not have a Raid activity. We didn’t make this decision lightly. Our team has been humbled by the reception of Raids in Destiny and we are creating a new Raid for a release later this year. House of Wolves will have a new cooperative end game activity focused on variety, replayability, and skill – a new battle Arena called The Prison of Elders. Below, you’ll find the currently planned calendar of events for House of Wolves news. Next week we’ll be kicking things off by revealing the upgrade path for your existing Exotic and Legendary gear. We know this is an important subject for you. After, we’ll detail out Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders, both brand new additions to Destiny’s end game activities.
  20. You were right... Queens bounties will be the bulk of this expansion is what I am thinking... So instead of just bringing them back while we wait another 5 weeks for this, they have decided to make an entire expansion around it... I of course still love the game, but looks like this will be a few days of content and then just grinding her "bounties" from the reef... We will see...
  21. Here you go:
  22. Is that official??? If so... Awesome!!!
  23. Agreed... Supers have no place in pvp
  24. Bungie has detailed several new features and gameplay changes that will be added to Destiny via the upcoming 1.1.2 patch. Key among them is a new approach to ammo drops in the Crucible multiplayer mode. Speaking on the Destiny website, Crucible designer Kevin Yanes said that Special and Heavy ammo drops will be more limited resources to help balance matches. “Special Ammo will spawn less frequently, it will take longer to pick up, there will be less crates located on the map, and the bricks you find will provide you with less ammo,” he explained. For Heavy ammo, players will no longer have the option to camp near supplies and retrieve them when necessary. Instead, Heavy ammo will despawn if not picked up within a period of time. “The main thing we wanted to prevent in terms of Heavy Ammo was players trying to buffer their supply by sitting within range of a brick without picking it up,” Yanes added. “This hurts your ability to anticipate when heavy ammo would be in play during a match. By introducing despawn conditions, we’re ensuring that players will have to acquire ammo when it becomes available, or risk losing it all together.” Meanwhile, the update will also include a safeguard that is hoped will prevent players from accidentally deleting their hard-earned items and weapons. With the new update, players can “lock” their items by highlighting them and pressing the right thumb-stick. “One recurring story we keep seeing involves Legendary and Exotic gear getting accidentally dismantled by errant pets and over-enthusiastic children,” said UI engineer Daniel Hanson. “We decided to empower players to protect their precious gear with Item Locking.” Along with the Crucible changes and Item Lock feature, Bungie is also introducing more ways for players to express themselves. With the 1.1.2 update, players will now be free to wear any of their helmets in the Tower social space. Artist Andrew Davis explains: "The design team came to us wondering if we could give players the option to show off their sweet helmets while running around the Tower. We all agreed that it’s important to give players every opportunity to show off the cool gear they’ve earned. It turned out to be a fairly quick UI task to turn helmets on in the Tower. Our engineers banged out the code for it in short order. All we had to do was figure out where to put the menu option. A number of locations in the UI were discussed. Character screen? Details screen? We decided that the Settings menu was the most obvious and easiest place to control this new feature.” Bungie has yet to share a release date for the 1.1.2 update, but says it will be able to share the information “very soon.” The developer will also announce the release date for Destiny's next expansion--House of Wolves--later in April.
  25. and with Euan's aim and running around with a jellyhorn, he will need TONS of it...
