Sennex 1,903
It is rock solid. I really enjoy it so far, however I am going to advise everyone to NOT upgrade at this point. There are a ton of built in trackers that can all be turned off, I don't really have a problem with this. Win10 appears to be streamlined to work on laptops, tablets, phones, and desktops without any real changes needed. Which is good in my opinion. The problem I have currently, is even if you turn off/ block every tracker and aid out there, Win10 will still send in to MS everything you type into the Start menu, as well as any installed Bing searches. (I don't honestly care about Bing searches, every search engine compiles what you search for, this is nothing new, and will continue as long as we have search engines) Here is the kicker, within the USA, this is in direct violation of several credit card protection laws, as well as HIPAA. Here is an image of what is sent: http://imgur.com/dB0sruf Luke 23:34 'And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't think it be like it is, but it do." cyberninja2601 1,106
I couldn't really see anything much in the image. I don't know if others will either. I personally use as little of the MS utilities in Win as I can. I use mostly chrome. I often do searches in the incognito window so I don't know if that would still be a problem Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/2834-windows-10-thoughts/#findComment-66120 Share on other sites
Sennex 1,903
The Start button is a search, it just limits it to the programs on your machine. If you actually use the specific search bar within the Start menu itself, this will then scan every indexed file on your machine, and I don't mean the titles, I mean the contents. This is where the violations come in EDIT: Also, the image is huge, don't look at it on Mobile, just click on it until it is max size Luke 23:34 'And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't think it be like it is, but it do." Sennex 1,903
Hold off. I might be making moves over to linux here soon. The reason is for the "spying" that is supposedly happening from Microsoft. Right now there is a ton of information out there, and most of it is questionable. So it is hard to say what is happening and what isn't Luke 23:34 'And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't think it be like it is, but it do."
