J4MES OX4D 10,035
I see Activision have formed their own movie studio now with Skylanders coming in the next two years and a Call of Duty movie expected for 2018-19. Could be interesting and hope they do something along the lines of Modern Warfare as that would be vintage. cyberninja2601 1,106
Modern warfare would probably make the better movie. However I suspect they would go with the latest games in order to cross-promote. It's a difficult sale in my opinion. There are plenty of different war based action movies out there. You really don't need the CoD brand to make a successful movie Link to comment https://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/forums/topic/3121-call-of-duty-movie/#findComment-72157 Share on other sites

You really don't need the CoD brand to make a successful movie I think it would bring in a lot of money. Like you said, there are already a lot of war movies out there. But, most kids aren't interested in history or true stories. I think this would sell big time on the name alone. Every teenager and early 20's guy would be all over this. It could be a garbage movie (and in my opinion would be), but it would sell tickets just on the brand. I don't think it would be a difficult sell at all. Easy money, shit movie. There's good material to work with from the Modern Warfare game, but I have zero faith that they'd do it right. J4MES OX4D 10,035
COD 4 Modern Warfare would have made the perfect opportunity for a movie as it was so unique and brand-appropriate but now the franchise has moved to a more futuristic, fantasy and spectacular backdrop; they'll probably go all Hollywood on this aspect and showcase as much CGI as possible. MW would have the best narrative but the way the series is positioned now; it's all about crashes and bangs more than a quality story. COD 4 wont ever be forgotten as a game but I think the time has probably passed for it to be relevant for a movie nowadays which is a shame. JsinOwl 644
CoD4 was the only CoD that had a memorable campaign. I remember the mission One Shot One Kill like it was yesterday. That shit was awesome. If you decide to put your dick in crazy, be ready to change your phone number and relocate.
