The one in my living room doesn't have a USB port, so it's... that old.  Not sure, maybe 7 years old?

The one in my bed room is only 2 years old, it does have a USB port.

I was only half serious when I posted that original comment.  I can get things to work when I'm patient.  It's a lot easier now.  It used to be tricky for me.  There were multiple files types and I didn't know the difference.  I'd just try it once, if it didn't work I'd forget about it.  Find the file later on and just delete it.  It's really not a problem anymore, lol.  Just trying to be funny.

Spend the $30 dollars and get a Chromecast then.

Your TV should have HDMI ports, or if not, and you have a reciever, it should have them. Plug the Chromecast in, and done.

Best 30$ I ever spent to be honest.

Luke 23:34
