Hope I'm not duplicating a thread here but this is just an amazing work of art and symbol of remembrance. I was lucky enough to see it a few weeks ago

 

Every evening they play The Last Post at sunset in the moat

I saw this on the news the other day. Beautiful and impactful. Had me wondering if anyone on here was lucky enough to see it in person. I would love to! One gentleman they interviewed explained that these don't even represent all of the British people lost from other UK territories.

As many as 400,000 Muslims made up one-third of the Indian Army of 1.3 million, along with 100,000 Sikhs, and up to 800,000 Hindu soldiers. Yet when asked to estimate how many Muslims fought on the British side in 1914, only 2% of those surveyed by British Future correctly placed the number at between 250,000 and 500,000.
