On the one year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing, I heard a radio interview with Rene Rancourt talking about how memorable it was to sing the anthem at the first sporting event after that tragedyt. As it turns out, he only needed to get it started. /Rene has sung the anthem at Bruins games since shortly after the formation of the Earth.
