-put air in my tyre, moved my car off the air pump and onto the main forecourt to fill my car with gas/petrol

-the tyre started gushing air and went flat

-moved off the forecourt and changed to the spare

-pumped up the spare

-checked the "flat", pumped it up. its currently held at the correct PSI for 30 mins.....ermmmm what ?

reckon its safe to put the "flat" back on ?

I absoloutely prefer it this way. You have overall more control. You can finish one guy off first, or all ten

Could be a bead leak as well, that's another leak that will sometimes only show up when the weight of the car is on it. If you have a container big enough fill it with water and hold the tire under for a minute, even the slowest of leaks will show up with pushing air bubbles from the leak so you can locate it.
